The Tech Vinny that administered my vaccine was polite, knowlegeable, and even checked my eligibility for other vaccines. Thank you for doing a great job.

- DSDave SouthsideJul 2, 20231.0If you have social anxiety and prefer self checkout like I do, DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!! I purposely go early in the morning around 7am to avoid people and get my shopping done in peace and quiet. I like using self checkout so I can avoid interacting with anyone early in the morning. They have a sign that reads "15 items or less" to use self checkout. I know this Jewel can get really busy during the day, so the item restriction doesn't seem unreasonable. My problem is when it's 7:30 am, there is no one using the 6 open registers and there is no one behind me and I get barked at by the tiny man running the bank of self check out registers that I have too many items and can't use them. I spend around $500-$700 a month at this Jewel and this little jackhole comes at me like a Chihuahua about too many items. I left my cart and said "see ya". I'll gladly spend my money at Walmart at 7am where it's cheaper, no limit on self checkout and only a hand full of people roaming around. Jewel either needs to change their self checkout cart limit for early morning shoppers when the store isn't busy or put employees in charge that can use critical thinking skills to assess that "it's not busy, go ahead". Maybe they'll avoid losing future customers like they did with me.

However, tonight in the Deli there was only one lady working and about five customers waiting. The worker requested help because it was getting close to closing time. After several minutes no one came out so she went in the back and requested help again finally a lady came out and she turned off all the lights in the deli counter then she grabbed her glove and with a very angry look on her face who's next. Then she began serving a gentleman but she was so upset that she had to come out and help that I couldn't believe it. I'm a regular at the store however, I will not be visiting the deli counter especially if it's before there closing time.
