- JCJane ClarkMay 20, 20221.0I set up an eye appointment for an eye exam so I could get a refill on my contacts. When I got there, I found out it was a virtual visit, not in person with a doctor. The technician did a bunch of tests but one of the machines was broken. When I met with the doctor virtually, she went through the whole exam, and when we were finished, she said she couldn't give me the prescription because I didn't get all the tests due to the broken machine. I had to schedule ANOTHER appointment when a doctor would be there in person. On the second appointment I had to go through everything all over again. This doctor ordered me trial contacts and said I just had to call in to order my regular contacts. When my trials were almost out, I called to place the order and the woman on the phone said I had to come in for yet a THIRD APPOINTMENT with an in person doctor. Yes, they charged me for another eye exam. At least this doctor, Dr. Martin, knew what he was doing and got me all set and ordered my contacts. This was a time consuming and frustrating experience. On top of all of it, they keep trying to submit last year's exam to my insurance and the claim keeps getting denied. I've now gotten 4 denial letters from my insurance company on an eye exam I paid for in January 2021.
