  I had never had a bad experience with a dentist until I came to Artful Smiles. My teeth aren't especially sensitive, but this cleaning was very rough and painful. They wanted to apply a medication to deal with an issue that seemed to arise from the rough cleaning--when I was hesitant they pressured me into getting the medication by weaponizing my medical history. At no point did they inform me that the medication wouldn't be covered by insurance and would be a significant out-of-pocket cost. After the very long cleaning they gave me an even longer pitch for Invisalign, even after admitting my teeth aren't in need of adjustment. When I left they tried to schedule me for another cleaning in less than 6 months even though I pointed out that wouldn't be covered by insurance. I was rattled by the experience and never went back, but I've just received a bill for the visit a full two years later. My feeling throughout was that this practice is driven by profit rather than care for their patient's health. Very scammy and unsettling ("artful" is an apt name!)--I wouldn't recommend that anyone go here.
