- GRGreg RJul 30, 20251.0UPDATE 8/6/25 Spoke to a pharmacist today regarding an issue where Osco stopped putting my presriptions through my insurance and instead switched me to their internal discount card. When I asked why I wasn't told any of this (it was done many months ago), the pharmacist replied that if insurance denies the prescription, they make this change and will NOT tell the customer. I said, wouldn't it be better if you just told the customer instead of doing it? She said no, customers don't need to know what Jewel is doing with their account or their prescriptions. This has resulted in a major insurance issue for me that is not resolved. I am reliant on Osco to fix this and they are doing nothing. They are not contacting me, and the only way I can get an update is to call or go to the pharmacy myself. My original review is below. Just found out that Osco had not put any of my prescriptions through my insurance since last year. They did not ask for a current insurance card but instead they had the not so bright idea to apply some kind of their own "discount" card. This is now a huge mess for me and so frustrating that Osco has acted in a way that has caused me a significant amount of money I will likely never be able to recoup. Go anywhere for your prescriptions instead of Osco, no one could be worse.
