  I have been to this Jewel Osco several times, but never again. My personal belief is that the cleanliness of a restroom reflects the cleanliness of rest of the store. Dirty bathroom equals dirty store. Now, the last 2 times I went in the mens bathroom at this location, the stool was full of feces, tp, and one visit feces on the floor from the stool over flowing. The filthiest mens restroom I have seen since my college days at college bars 35 years ago. For example, go use a portapotty on the last day of a 2 week festival. They are much cleaner and sanitary. Maybe I am not being fair and rest of the premise that sells food is very clean, but I am not going to chance buying food from there when the mens restroom is worse than disgusting. But, I am not privy to their storage area, kitchen, etc that can't be seen by the shopper. Not going to take that chance when there are dozens of grocery options in the area with clean restrooms. I would add some photos to this review, but the photos are too disgusting to share.

  When CVS could not fill my medication and would take them over 4 days to get it, not to mention their price for the medication was over $78 more then Jewel-Osco. After several attempts to reach CVS over the phone it was impossible, you would get TRUMP faster on the phone than CVS Pharmacy personnel or pharmacist. I had to physically go to the CVS store to get my prescription and take it over to Jewel. That’s when it all came to light when JAY the pharmacist at JEWEL helped me out with a smile on his face and his great work ethic. Right away he took my prescription and told me he would have it for me next day but would double check and call me back by end of day. This was already 6pm. Around 715 Received a call from JAY telling me that another Jewel-Osco have my medication in stock and if it was okay to transfer it to the other store. He went above and beyond to help me out. What a great gentleman and customers service 👍 Jewel will be filling my prescriptions from now on.

  Why does any 12 oz healthy drink cost more than your most expensive 25 or 19 oz beer single can? Why does your blue diamond almonds small bag cost $2 and at a gas station. It's around a $1.60. Why are you raising the prices on people that don't even steal eggs from chickens or milk from cows? In order to shop there and save money, you need to boycott half the store.

  I’ve been using Osco pharmacies for more than 30 years. The Osco on Elmhurst Road in Des Plaines goes beyond the the ordinary to help. I needed an allergy eye ointment and pharmacist Thonas tracked it down at another Osco near his home. Picked it up and had it for me the next morning. I could not have asked for better service. He’s an asset to Osco. Thank you for your help
