  We had a very poor experience with the swim program due to inconsistent policies and unprofessional staff. While I was in a swim lesson, an instructor told me my other children could swim nearby before their own lesson, as she had allowed another family to do the same. However, a lifeguard later yelled at us during my daughter’s class, was extremely rude even after I explained we had permission, and then openly complained about me to other staff in front of everyone. I understand the need for rules, but being singled out, while other families were doing the same thing, was frustrating and inappropriate. It’s especially confusing that adult lap swimmers (including older men in speedos) are allowed right next to children’s lessons, but kids who are siblings to those in class can’t practice briefly before their lessons, even with a separate lap pool available for adults. On top of that, communication from management was poor, the pools were cold and not very clean, and much of the equipment is outdated. The childcare center was great, but overall I would not recommend this facility, especially for swim lessons.

  Worse experience. Their app is horrible. Something is always not working with it and when you question why? whoever is in charge either blames the member instead of admitting that it’s their fault that needs fixing or cancels your class reservations or just ignores your concern completely. Upper management needs to take a closer look at what is happening at the Sage YMCA location. This is Not the first time this has happened nor will it be the last. Unacceptable and unprofessional. We are intelligent paying members and SHOULD NOT be treated like idiots.
