  Great staff at this location. Amanda did a fantastic job as my hygienist. Te entire staff is very friendly.

  I have had a great experience in Chillicothe at Small town dental. I got referred to a great guy on knoxville in peoria for my root canal, my new crown fits great. I could not be happier, and I hardly ever say that.

  *Check that they accept your insurance BEFOREHAND* I took myself and my two kids here a couple weeks ago. Michaela was great, and the hygienists did absolutely wonderful, especially with my kids (one of which is young and was his first visit). They were very friendly, thorough, and patient. It was such a pleasant experience, until we went to leave. Only when we were leaving was I notified that the practice was out of network for my insurance. When I explained that the practice was showing as in network on my insurance's website, she simply said it was outdated. While I certainly accept responsibility that I should double-check this in advance, I feel like the front desk staff absolutely could have alerted me, multiple times. I gave my insurance information when I booked the appointments weeks in advance. She put it into the system and could have notified me then. They also could have notified me right when I showed up. The fact that I wasn't told I'd be owing over $600 out of pocket until I went to leave was both very shocking and disappointing. PLEASE double check that your insurance is in network BEFORE services. The ONLY reason I'm still giving four stars is because of the excellent service from both the dentist and hygienists.

  I honestly gave them 2 only stars because the dental assistant was amazing! Kayla aka dental assistant was so warm and welcoming but the rest the staff was lost and rude. The reception i spoke on the phone was very nice and said hey if u dont have the insurance at your visit no worries we can take care of it later. Which was a relief because we did have our new card yet and my son had a bad tooth he was suffering with. The appointment went well other the end. Kayla made sure my 2 year old who is very shy was comfortably and put toystory on for her. Piper the receptionist I talked to was very sweet and helpful maybe new becuase she wasnt aware of the evil woman who is her bosses rules. As for the dentist he was nice but really didnt do much almost did not even look at my sons tooth. Kayla went out of her way to write referral prices for us to make sure we were taken care of. Dentist literally gave us no knowledge saw for us 2 seconds and left. The worst part was when i went to check out the receptionist was demanded by her boss to make us pay 153 dollar bill that we couldn't afford after i was told that the cost could be figured out after i was able to get insurance information. The woman i am guessing was the office manage was VERY VERY rude was making us stay there w a screaming 2 year old and kid in pain and my other child trying her very best to be patient while i had give them my last 100 bucks and then call around to find the rest the money pay my bill or i wasnt allowed to leave and she would have taken legal action on me. The woman who is the boss of the office treated me like i was complete trash. I will never be coming back to this place. Which is very unfortunate because honestly if this woman was not involved probably 5 out of 5 stars because everyone else was so so nice and understanding and made our experiences very comfortable. This women is unhappy in life and uses her job to take it out on other people. Very disappointing that an other women could treat another women/mother who is a stranger to her so poorly.
