Rush Specialty Hospital - Critical Illness Recovery

RUSH Specialty Hospital is a 44-bed, free-standing critical illness recovery hospital, located approximately one block east of RUSH University Medical Center. We are a hospital where chronically, critically ill patients heal and recover. Physician-led, interdisciplinary care teams support that recovery by developing a customized treatment plan helping patients begin to breathe, speak, eat, walk and think as independently as possible. Our hospital also features a 56-bed acute rehabilitation unit on site at RUSH Specialty Hospital – Inpatient Rehabilitation. Here an individual’s rehabilitation needs and goals are met through a range of programs and services. We offer private rooms, spacious therapy gyms, indoor and outdoor leisure areas and other amenities to ensure your comfort, safety and progress.
