very pleasant Yoga Studio. Staff are always welcoming, cheery, and willing to help with whatever questions you may have. Having only been there once, by the second time i showed up, the front desk already knew me by name. a Very personal staff. The manager Angel is very approachable and gives off a Sincere vibe thats easy to chat with, and eager to hear your opinoins/suggestions. Price for the unlimited seems high at first, but given all things consdered, it comes out to your benefit as long as you do more than 5 in a month, which is very easy to do with their schedule options. Parking is free so long as you remember to validate before leaving the studio. nice clean facilities too. if youre relying on reviews to make your decision, you owe it to yourself to at least try one class and take it from there!

I am so happy I found Yoga Six! I wanted to be challenged and I wanted to build strength and flexibility, but I did not want my classes to feel like an extension of my gym or a group workout class, or an anonymous corporate routine. I joined Yoga Six for a year-long unlimited membership in January, and they have created a new standard for me in terms of class quality. They offer more challenging, strength-focused classes like power (heated), boot camp, and (for me) vinyasa, but they also have flow, deep stretch, and hot yoga classes which focus on balance and flexibility as well as strength. Regardless of the class, yoga is at the center of the practice. Working toward your personal flexibility and strength is key, and teachers set out blocks for every student, introduce themselves, and ask how your body is feeling and if hands on adjustments are ok with you at the beginning of each class. If you have an injury they make helpful, practical suggestions for adjustments so you can make the most of your class. You are not put on the spot, but this is not an anonymous, do whatever and hope you're doing it right with no feedback type of class. The studio does have mirrors, which I love for alignment, but some teachers will switch it up and face away from the mirrors towards the beautiful views of the windows if they feel it fits the class and vibe. These are very knowledgable and engaged teachers, who bring thought and creativity to their classes. Although this is definitely not a scented candle type studio, some teachers do use oils at the end of class, which I personally really enjoy. In addition to class quality, this is a beautiful facility, with clean locker rooms, showers, free locks, extras like deodorant, mouth wash, and hair ties, and towels and mats for rent as needed. The floors are a padded mat-like material and when I've gone to other studios with wood or wood over concrete floors while traveling I've realized how spoiled I am by that feature. This is in my opinion a very inclusive studio compared to others--I see all body shapes, sizes, and genders in my classes and a variety of skill levels. We are there to push for our personal best, (or relax and clear our heads) and not to compete or show off. This studio focuses on building community and developing your practice--they are constantly hosting workshops, events, and what really got me hooked, 'challenges' where you commit to a certain number or type of classes and record your progress on a public whiteboard. Everyone who completed the February Challenge (29 classes in 29 days) had their picture taken with a cute polaroid camera and their picture hung up in the hall. March was student appreciation month and there were prizes, massage chairs, cold press juices, etc (and maybe also donuts:). This May they are holding a 'summer strong' challenge focused on taking 15 power or boot camp classes during the month. There is always something happening! The free 90 min parking is sometimes limiting at Roosevelt Collection but the location is so, so perfect--big windows with open landscape, the river, set on the second floor--it really contributes to the value of my practice. Parking has now been extended to 2 hours, which will definitely help add some flexibility for 60 minute classes. When I take 2 classes in a row, I move my car between classes so I don't have to pay--the staff is supportive and it's never been a big problem. There is also bike parking, a bus stop right outside and the red line is right down the street if those are workable alternatives to driving. Overall, it feels like this studio has taken the best parts of a well-run, larger corporate studio and the intimacy and personality of smaller studios and crafted the perfect balance for a meaningful and challenging yoga practice.
