Updated 12/18 after response from merchant
They sent me a survey to fill out which apparently is supposed to help me out somehow. I called the store directly last night well before close and there was no answer. I called back again today and Alex picked up. He proceeded to take a defensive and demeaning tone when I asked why I never got a call back after taking my personal information and then still had the nerve to ask if I wanted to come in for an appointment as if I'm going to trust these people to handle my eye care now. After speaking with him for a couple of minutes and getting nowhere I told him his tone and defensive approach After they made a mistake was unnecessary and I wanted to speak with his manager. He started taking in a lower voice as if afraid to be overheard and said he didn't know his managers name and they couldn't help me out. I asked for her name again and he played dumb and ignored me and stopped responding to me asking repeatedly for the name of his manager And to confirm his own name he refused to identify himself. He hung up on me and when I called back he ignored my calls. I called back from a different number and he instantly answered. I reminded him I still wanted to confirm his managers name after he already confirmed his when answering the phone. He again played dumb and started to be apologetic because he realized he messed up. I insisted on getting his managers name and he would not give it to me. He even falsely claimed to be the manager himself and when I called him out on that he couldn't ignore the fact that he was lying. Eventually he said her name is "apple" and when I pressed him on this he said it's her nickname. I'm not her friend or calling for casual reasons I'm asking for her real name and he finally said it was applelonia. I still don't believe him but he remained defensive and accused me of being irate and yelling which at that point I was. How can he still take a defensive stance when they wronged me and refused to even acknowledge their mistake. This place is awful and I'm glad they didn't get my money. I still want to speak to an actual manager because if you have staff thats working here doing stuff like this maybe there needs to be change from the top down.
Called on 12 /14 to ask about an eye exam and using my insurance to purchase some frames. They said they would look up my details and call me back soon. They never called me back and they took down some personal information like last 4 of my SS# and DoB. Now I'm having to worry about what sort of people work here.
