- CMChristina MarficeOct 6, 20241.0Pharmacy workers don’t answer the phone and their voicemail system can’t take messages. If you need to contact them, the only way to do so by phone is to call the Jewel Osco customer service desk and ask them to walk over to the pharmacy to tell someone they’re going to transfer you so they’ll actually pick up the call. Because of being unable to reach the pharmacy for several days, I couldn’t refill a prescription before going out of town. The pharmacist said my only option was to transfer the prescription to a pharmacy in the state I was visiting and pick it up there. I tried to do that, but the new pharmacy couldn’t get ahold of anyone to complete the transfer because no one at this pharmacy would pick up the phone or return their calls. I spent tons of time on my vacation calling pharmacies and ended up running out of medication and having to just pick up the refill here on the day I got back. On top of it all, the pharmacist at this Jewel was extremely rude and consistently acted like this whole situation was my fault, when all I did was what he told me to do.

She refused to accept a perfectly valid prescription, phoned my Dr and was very, very rude to her and the clinical staff. She kept questioning the script, to the Dr, the Dr's supervisor and myself. It took 2 whole days for her to let loose of the drugs, running me back and forth several times! In the end, she forced me to accept another script, which was not needed. She's a nightmare! My poor Dr was so relieved when I. Switched pharmacies.
