The front desk person incorrectly measured before the exam. Over two hours wasted and the doctor tried to cover it up. Went to Big City Optical which corporate insurance covers much better. Unfortunate because I’ve been with for over 5 years

It was very positive and the doctor was very professional and helpful and explained to me the situation at hand and informed me of what I needed to do to enhance my eye health and she prescribed me a new prescription for my glasses and I will know more when I pick up my glasses and I feel like I will get better results from the visit and I was very pleased to have stopped by and get the eye exam and I will return to her to get my next appointment because I am very confident that she will help resolve what my eyes need to see better.

The doctor was great and went through all questions I needed, she took her time guiding me through the health of my eyes.
However, I wasn't told at the beginning that they will be taking an optomap of me which was an extra $40 - at the end of the day I'd rather be preventative, but they made it seem like a regular part of the screening. When going through the bill and trying to see why it was higher, the person checking me out spoke much too fast like the end of a pharma commercial - I asked him to slow it down since I'm sure he gets these questions all the time, he didn't slow it down at all which I was still confused, then asking the third time I could tell he was starting to get a bit impatient, so I stopped asking.
Finally I asked for my contacts to be shipped to the store since I get packages stolen and they said that was okay. No action was taken there so I asked if they'd call me when they're ready for pickup - the contacts were shipped to my old address!
I don't usually try to post negative reviews but this ended up costing me more than I was expecting and if I didn't know the people at my last address I would have been out a year of contacts. I understand that my appointment was at the end of the day but I wish more care was taken from the staff (besides the doctor).

Dr. Beth Mokaya at LensCrafters North State Street is by for the most competent and talented optometrist I’ve ever encountered over the past 45 years. It’s my third annual with her, and she’s going to be my go to until she retires.
