Friendly and professional team. They made me fell comfortable, and explained insurance coverage and options before the visit, as well has helped me pick out a cute set of glasses. I would recommend going here if you’re near the loop!

I came in for a scheduled eye exam fully intending to purchase both glasses and contact lenses. Unfortunately, from start to finish, I experienced repeated behavior that made me feel dismissed, mocked, and unwelcome. Upon arrival, the front desk employee appeared skeptical when I stated I had an appointment. I had to repeat myself twice before clarifying that I was there for an eye exam. After I gave my name, he looked me up and down and spoke to me rudely, telling me there were “a lot of people ahead” of me and that I could “browse around, I guess,” despite my scheduled appointment. During pre-exam testing, another employee asked if I was getting out of work. I explained that I work next door and chose this location for convenience. Her response was, “Oh good, because if you’re drunk we can’t give you the eye exam.” This comment was shocking and completely inappropriate, as nothing I said or did suggested I was intoxicated. When I met with the doctor, she initially seemed pleasant, but throughout the exam she repeatedly giggled and made comments about my “teeny tiny” prescription. The comments felt mocking and dismissive, as if my vision concerns were not valid — even though I need corrective lenses to drive. While trying on trial contact lenses, the doctor corrected which eye the lens belonged to, had me remove and reinsert it, and then reversed her instruction, appearing distracted and careless during the process. When we exited the exam room, she handed me my prescription, again joked about my “teeny tiny prescription,” laughed, and walked away. Despite the doctor telling staff that I was interested in both glasses and contact lenses, another employee immediately said, “You’re not going to want to purchase lenses, right?” When I confirmed that I was interested and asked what time they closed, she rolled her eyes and said 6:30. I was made to wait over 10 minutes just to receive pricing for contact lenses, and the more questions I asked about packages, the more visibly annoyed the employee became. It felt as though she was waiting for me to give up and leave. Eventually, I decided to pay only for the exam, despite coming in fully prepared to purchase glasses and contacts. As I was leaving, I was not acknowledged at all, while other patients were warmly greeted. The contrast in treatment was very noticeable. This entire experience left me feeling that my presence — and my money — were not welcome here. The repeated dismissive comments, inappropriate assumptions, and lack of basic courtesy made this a deeply uncomfortable visit. I will not be returning, and I will not be recommending this business to others.
