They are constrained in what they can do based on corporate policy and this limits how effective they can be. I have spoken to some trainers that have left body20 due to this restriction and they shared with me this fitness model is tailored to older adults and so safety policies and how much they push you to advance is limited. This is fine as a business model but take care in choosing body20 if you are a true athlete. 2) They are extremely difficult to contact especially to resolve membership issues. They now have a policy that you cannot use your membership across cities if you are traveling. I have been out of town for 2 months, cannot use my membership even though there is a location where I am now, and have tried several times to call to suspend my Chicago membership. I have been unsuccessful. For a fairly expensive “boutique” service, Body20 leadership should be aware that this lack of timely customer care is a risk to member satisfaction and ultimately their opportunities to retain members. At this point I plan on cancelling altogether.
