My overall first time experience in-store was great. The employees there, especially Shamira, were very attentive. She made it quick and effortless for me to get the glasses I wanted.

I’ve always come to this LensCrafters location for my glasses, and for the most part, everyone has always been very kind and helpful. However, my experience with the assistant manager has been consistently negative. I don’t know her name, but she has an accent, and unfortunately, she is very rude.
Out of all the times I’ve visited, I try to avoid having her help me, but there have been three separate occasions where I’ve had to deal with her, and each time the experience was the same. When you’re spending hundreds of dollars on glasses, you shouldn’t feel rushed, talked down to, or dismissed. Her tone is disrespectful, and she speaks at you, not to you, as if you’re unintelligent. She lacks patience, which is surprising in a role that involves helping customers choose and purchase eyewear.
At first, I gave grace and assumed she might have just been having a bad day, but after multiple encounters, it’s clear this is a pattern. She is dismissive, unhelpful, and her attitude is completely off. She seriously needs more customer service training this is not okay.
What’s frustrating is that everyone else at this location is always so nice, which makes her behavior stand out even more. I actually pass the South Loop location just to come all the way to Chicago Ridge, and to be treated this way is disappointing and unacceptable. I’m a manager myself, and behavior like this would never be allowed in my store.
LensCrafters, you really need to address this. Customers should feel welcomed, not uncomfortable. If you do come to this location, just be aware that the assistant manager is not pleasant at all and can be very rude.

Shamira was amazing. The website didn’t say that the mall would close at 5pm instead of 7 but she helped everyone even though the gate was already closed. She deserves extra credit because she was patient and kind and attention was given to us all. Someone NEEDED to pick up their mother’s glasses and I know that portably was the only chance they could. I’m thankful for people like this because they are truly rare in today’s society where everyone thinks about themselves. She deserves a raise

If I could give this LensCrafters in Chicago Ridge ten stars, I honestly would. From the minute I walked in, the whole place just felt different. The store was spotless and bright, everything looked new, and they clearly take pride in keeping it that way.
Niyah helped me and she was amazing. She didn’t rush me, she actually listened, and she made the whole process smooth from start to finish. She knew her stuff and still kept it warm and personal, which is rare these days.
Her Meta display experience was top-tier!!!
My optometrist… hands down the best exam I’ve ever had in my life. It was so thorough, so clear, and so professional that I walked out actually understanding my eyes better than I ever have. They use real state-of-the-art equipment, not the outdated stuff you see in other places, and you can tell they care about accuracy, comfort, and your time.
This is easily the best location I’ve ever been to. The last place I went gave me an uncomfortable and flat-out wrong prescription, so walking into a team that actually knows what they’re doing felt like a relief. The difference was night and day.
The entire team here was friendly, welcoming, and you can feel that they enjoy what they do. It’s the kind of customer service that sticks with you.
I left with confidence in my prescription, glasses I actually love, and a whole new respect for what a real eye-care experience should feel like. Chicago Ridge LensCrafters has earned every bit of this five-star review. I’ll definitely be back.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
