- ARAnna RSep 29, 20252.0The first issues was with scheduling. I made an appointment in advance. I went on a Saturday and did not get seen until more than an hour past my appointment time. All told I spent over 2 hours in the office for a routine annual exam. The second issue has to do with price transparency. I needed my contact lens prescription renewed. The doctor wanted me to try multi focal lenses. I was hesitant and told her I wanted what was cheapest. She insisted that because of rebates the multifoca would cost the same as my regular contacts. I was shocked when it came time to checkout and I was charged 4 times the amount for the lens fitting as I had been in previous years at Pearle Vision. It was also $120 more than the amount my husband paid at the Geneva Pearle Vision for a multifocal lens fitting. In addition, they took retinal images with out notifying me that it was an additional charge or asking for consent for an add on procedure. That is something that has always been the case at previous optometrist. Exam was thorough and the doctor did spend time talking about my eye health. But I did not end up with a contact lens prescription and the glasses prescription was significantly different from what I have been wearing without issue, so I do not trust its accuracy. However I would not recommend this practice given the above issues.
