I love Pure Barre AH. The owner, Grace, dedicates time and energy to remember everyone's names and build a community for the studio. I am always welcomed to the studio. Part of this community is celebrating successes: for milestone classes (such as 50 and 100) the individual is celebrated during the class by the instructor. I remember feeling so good when I hit my 50th class, and that feeling encourages me to celebrate others' milestones as well. There are various class types, and so you will find a class that fits what you are looking for. I find value in all the classes, whether they are focused on cardio, strength, small movements, or stretching. I also love that weekday classes start at 5:30am; this time allows me to get my workouts in before busy days and I can be consistent each week. The instructors are encouraging and motivating, and I always leave the studio feeling tired and accomplished (and sore!) Joining Pure Barre has been well worth the membership!

Pure Barre Arlington Heights is such a welcoming and energizing studio. The instructors are incredibly engaging — they’re knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly invested in making every class feel both challenging and approachable, no matter your experience level. Each instructor brings their own personality and energy, which keeps classes fresh and motivating. I also love the variety of classes available. With multiple formats and a robust schedule, it’s easy to find classes that fit different goals, moods, and time constraints. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve flexibility, or just get in a great workout, there’s always an option that works. It’s a supportive, well-run studio that makes it easy to stay consistent and excited about coming back.

Took a pure bar class for free. Didn’t feel any pressure to join the club whatsoever. But they did offer really nice holiday pricing which I took advantage of. Grace is superbly kind owner, and knew my name after barely meeting me. I thought the class was extremely strenuous. All the moves are very tiny and targeted. Alyssa M has a fantastic class which I’ll be attending often. And I’ll also try some of the others. I’m so happy I joined. I think it will do me a lot of good And my booty will be happy for it!

This was my first time at a Pure Barre location. I am visiting family and noticed it opened up nearby. I regularly practice barre and am trained in ballet so I thought I'd try it. First, the front desk staff person was extremely unfriendly. Whatever, maybe she was having a bad day, but her few interactions with me were extremely short bordering on rude. She literally said hello to me, then said wait no I didn't mean to say hello to you, I thought you were someone else. Also, I thought I'd be asked to sign in and sign some sort of waiver, but I wasn't. The instructor was friendly, took my name and gave me a little tour, that was fine. Second, the studio had carpet. I was incredibly grossed out when the instructor had us lie down on it. There's no way they're keeping it sanitary with multiple classes every day. It also hurt my forearms in plank. I gather that all Pure Barre studios use the same carpet. She did pass out mats later in the class, but they were quite short so part of my body was inevitably touching the carpet. The real reason I didn't enjoy it is that the workout was not at all rigorous. There were very few ballet elements; it was a very brief and easy weights workout for arms, a ton of yoga and stretching, a little bit of booty sculpt that was cued poorly and not demoed, and some pilates abs. It only lasted 50 minutes. I think this is a standard Pure Barre workout format. All in all if you want a pretty easy workout for 45 minutes and you don't mind the carpeted studio, this could be a good choice. Maybe bring your own mat-size towel to put down on the carpet. Also, the Pure Barre website advertised a free first class, which I signed up for, but it seems to be a scam to get you to give Pure Barre your contact info. After I signed up, I got a message that said there were no free first classes after all, but they'd contact me about attending a class. I don't mind paying for a class but I mind the bait and switch. This was Pure Barre corporate's fault, not this specific studio's fault, so I'm not counting it against the studio. Response to Grace from PureBarre - I don't think it was you as the young woman didn't introduce herself as the owner! This was last week. Next time I am in town I will come back and check out a different class format.

I joined back in Jan and went to many pop up classes while we waited for the studio to open. I have really enjoyed all the classes and now that the studio is up and running, it's even better. The owner Grace, is truly the best. The teachers are also really good. Super clean and inviting place. I'm so happy we have this in AH!
