Dr. Cattenaci, Cathy and her entire team are nothing short of exceptional. Navigating fertility care can feel overwhelming, but they created an experience that was supportive, compassionate, and truly personalized every step of the way.
Dr. Cattenaci is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but she also takes the time to listen, explain, and ensure you feel confident in your care plan. Her empathy and dedication made such a difference during a very emotional journey. The entire team around her is equally amazing kind, responsive, and always willing to go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and cared for.
I couldn’t be more grateful to have been in their hands as we worked toward growing our family. They gave us hope, guidance, and unwavering support when we needed it most. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Cattenaci and her team to anyone seeking fertility care you will be in the best possible hands.
Dr. Catenacci listened to my concerns and health history information. She then worked with me to create a plan with next steps. She was calm and confident. She asked if I had questions along the way. I felt great about the plan we developed and I am grateful to have her leading my fertility care.
Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with this office. I scheduled my initial consultation way in advance, and spoke with the front desk staff numerous times to make sure my appointment was set, and all the required pre-registration materials were all ready to go. My appointment was scheduled for today, and I called a couple of hours prior to confirm the address, just to find out I was not on the schedule. This is after me taking a day off work and making arrangements with my mom to get home early so she can watch our puppy. When I called, I spoke to Haley who supposedly tried to “squeeze me in,” and then I was transferred to nurse Mary. Instead of providing comfort, support, and apologizing, both made me feel like I was at fault and made me feel as if I was bothering them. They scheduled a virtual visit for today, but after discussing it with my husband we decided we did not wish to settle for an online appointment as we preferred in person visit from the beginning. I also requested to speak to the office manager (Tiffany?), but she never called me. When I called back to cancel that virtual visit, another representative answered the phone and after I explained to her why we were canceling, ONCE again, not a single apology and she hung up on me before I was done talking. I am a healthcare professional myself and find this very unprofessional and unacceptable. You have to realize that every single person in a healthcare setting, whether it is a receptionist, a nurse, or a doctor, plays part in an overall patient experience. Will not be using this office or any of their locations for our parenthood journey. It is such a special experience and I want to share it with people who care about me and my family. I already scheduled with a different office recommended to me, and their patient care skills were excellent.

I do not write this lightly as I know just how important choosing a clinic is on your fertility journey, but I feel the need to speak up after witnessing the less than ideal experience my friend had with Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago. I watched first hand as excitement and anticipation turned into disappointment and sadness as she went through the process here. In the beginning, she liked the doctor and team she met with and got her initial test results quickly. She was assured that the process could happen in a timely fashion and they would keep her informed through out the testing and preparation process. She purchased all the necessary supplies including expensive supplements. She also prepared for this financially by setting aside FSA money last year to be able to use towards this process. Spoiler alert: she was not able to use the FSA money as the clinic’s lack of professionalism led to the process extending outside of 2025 and into 2026.
After the initial few days of communication with the clinic, they essentially ghosted her for weeks at a time. She would reach out for updates and they wouldn’t reply until she contacted them multiple times each time they ghosted her. After weeks of essentially no communication, she reached out to let them know that she would like the medical records and test results that they had already conducted as she was going to find a new clinic due to lack of communication. They STILL didn’t respond until she threatened legal action.
The nurse manager apologized and asked to make the situation right in a believable, “caring” manner. My trusting friend decided to give them another chance with the stipulation of wanting to know what went wrong during the initial process and what would happen next so that she could be fully prepared to move forward. The nurse manager ghosted her AGAIN for over a week until she reached out and officially told them she was no longer going to work with them. The nurse manager still didn’t have the decency to respond as someone else replied to my friend’s message even though she was assured the nurse manager was looking into the process personally. When she wrote a review on the internet, someone replied asking if she would have a conversation with the nurse manager so that they could again, make the situation right. This would be the same nurse manager who already ghosted her.
All of this to say, a fertility journey is not one taken lightly and is stressful enough in and of itself. You should have a caring team that you can trust to keep you informed throughout the process. No one should have to go through what she went through emotionally and financially in this situation. Protect yourself or your friends and choose a DIFFERENT clinic than Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago.

I truly wish I could give this clinic a negative rating. I am 31 and recently began my egg‑freezing journey after doing extensive research. I chose Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago based on reviews, social media, statistics, and the impression I got from my initial consultation. Unfortunately, the experience that followed has been nothing short of heartbreaking and incredibly stressful.
I had my first consultation in October 2025 and genuinely liked the doctor. I felt hopeful after meeting with the care team, patient coordinator, and financial team—everything you expect from a reputable fertility clinic. My initial testing was completed without issue, and I received my hormone results a few days later (which was fine). But from that point forward, everything completely fell apart.
I waited weeks for my AMH results and any communication about next steps. I emailed multiple times and received no response. I rearranged vacations, changed plans with friends, bought all the necessary supplies, and prepared my FSA to cover the procedure—all based on what I was told would be a straightforward timeline. After a full month with no updates, I was still told things like “the financial team is working on it” or “planning nurses have it,” but nothing ever actually moved forward.
Because of the delays and silence, I ultimately had to spend the remainder of my FSA dollars on unrelated eligible items just so I wouldn’t lose them—money that was originally saved specifically for this procedure. This was devastating, especially after being told I would have no issues completing the process before year‑end.
Only after I stated I was filing a complaint did I finally receive a response. A nurse manager apologized, said she did not know what happened, and asked if I would consider continuing with them. I responded with very basic and reasonable requests—an explanation, the financial estimate I had been promised months earlier, and clear next steps. Once again, I received no reply. Another week passed, and that was the final straw.
I am now filing a formal complaint with the Department of Health and Human Services and feel compelled to share my experience so others don’t go through the same emotional, financial, and logistical hardship. This clinic has cost me significant time, money, and peace of mind. What should have been an empowering and exciting step in my life was overshadowed by stress, silence, and complete disorganization.
I now have to start this entire process over—with anxiety and disappointment hanging over me—because of how poorly this clinic handled my care. I would strongly encourage anyone considering egg freezing or fertility treatment to look elsewhere.
