  My daughter was seen by Dr Janikowski and ended up with a slight rx. It was recommended, but not overly pushed onto us, to get and it was nice to know it was an option if needed. We did end up getting the classes and the board was clearer! I appreciated not just being told get the glasses and that since it wasn't that dire of an prescription. She also did a contact exam at a later date and recommended to use those for her horse back riding if she was interested. Now Dr. Jankiowski is the only optometrist she will see! Especially for her contacts!

  When I made the appointment, everything seemed fine. However, I arrived 5 minutes late after getting my kids to come in. As a result, I was informed that I couldn’t be seen because of my lateness. I inquired about the grace period in Illinois for such situations, but she informed me that I was supposed to come 15 minutes early because I needed to fill out paperwork. This led to a brief argument that lasted about 3 additional minutes before I and my son were finally seen. During this time, I had to explain that we had two appointments back-to-back. I had already filled out the paperwork online, but my son couldn’t do so. We went to the office to complete his paperwork, and after all this, I was never informed that I would be charged anything until the very last minute. To make matters worse, I was even charged a material fee, despite public aid having paid for the glasses. The lady at the office was incredibly rude and made me feel terrible. I told her that she could run the cameras back, but she was even more rude in front of my children. As a result, I have decided to refuse my insurance because I didn’t even get my glasses after all of this.

  Took my kindergartener for eye exam with Dr. Janikowski. My son did his exam and she was super rushed, was told he had astigmatism on both eyes and every time I asked a question she gave me attitude and made me feel dumb, said it was optional for glasses so obviously I was asking questions since she's the Dr, I'm clueless whether he really needs them or not but just took me to the front and walked away I was shocked. I just wanted alittle guidance and information about it, like is it really really recommended at his age for the low astigmatism and I didn't get nothing but attitude, I asked Eddie and he answered my questions so I appreciate that, but I will be getting a second option somewhere else, or I wish I made appt with another Dr from here from reviews I've read, please have a talk wit her she needs to be more supportive and compassionate
