It was my first experience with inpatient treatment and it was the best decision I've ever made. The staff was very involved with my health and well-being and took me to my doctor's appointments, got me through the horrible detox I was experiencing for the first week with medication management, one on one counseling and group therapy. I loved starting the day off with getting to go outside for a walk to soak up the sunshine first thing in the morning. The other residents were great! They really helped me stick it out every time I didn't think I was strong enough to stay as well as the staff. Everyone there has so much compassion and empathy. It felt like we were all a family. We celebrated my birthday with cake and ice cream which was such a nice surprise. I'm so glad I chose to go to Moonlight because I don't know that I would still be here had I not checked into Moonlight and stayed. I learned how to live with and cooperate with other people and even at my most difficult times where I was totally unpleasant they still treated me with kindness, compassion and understanding. I like how a lot of the staff are in recovery themselves and have experience with addiction and are living proof that you can and you WILL if you stick it out and take it seriously and soak up all that you can. I will forever hold the wonderful memories of my experience at Moonlight Mountain and I will always recommend them to anyone who is truly ready to change. If you want it they will help you any way that they possibly can. I love Moonlight Mountain! It saved my life! ❤️. ~Lucy

Clients in our Live-In Programs (minus full residential) are allowed to have their cell phone and may also have visits. We encourage you to stay a part of your family and loved ones while you are in recovery.
Can I work full time while attending treatment?
This depends on the level of treatment you are attending. If you are participating in 2.1 Intensive Outpatient or lower, then you may attend treatment classes and still work full time. It is much more difficult to manage a full or part-time job if you are in any program higher than 2.1 IOP as the hours of treatment are higher each week.
Talk with your Moonlight Counselor to determine if working is a possibility based on your situation.
