  I only just had my procedure this morning and I’m already writing a review, what does that tell you about the care I received? 😉 I need to rave about this practice for a moment. I have had debilitating dental anxiety after a very traumatic experience years ago with a dentist in another state. Unfortunately, this paired with postpartum nutrient deficiencies which lead to some broken teeth lead me to a very bad place- too anxious to do to the dentist, and too embarrassed of how the staff might treat me because of my oral health. Just last week, I went into a new dentist and had a wonderful experience with them. They referred me to Owyhee (Meridian office), who reached out very quickly to schedule. I believe I had my consultation the next day, and had my procedure scheduled right then and there. This was at the end of last week. Let me tell you, I was an anxious mess the whole weekend. No sleep, no appetite, and pure dread. The only thing stronger than my anxiety was the constant pain I’ve been having in my broken wisdom teeth! I knew it had to be done. I woke up this morning unsure of how to feel. I decided to take a deep breath and just get it done. As soon as I arrived, I felt instantly calm. Everyone is so kind and welcoming that you immediately feel like you are in good hands. I wish I would have gotten the name of the staff member who took me back. She helped me get all set up in the chair with the nasal cannula, took my vitals, etc. I also shared with her that I was anxious, and she was the most kind and calming person! She talked me through everything. Dr. Hurst then started an IV (which I did not feel at all), and I fell asleep. I then time traveled to post-procedure where the same sweet girl was telling me it was already over!! I felt instant relief and pure bliss. Something that I had put off for YEARS felt like it was done in 5 minutes. Post-op care instructions were gone over with both me and my husband and a paper was also sent home with some extra gauze. Recovery has been interesting, but I can’t be mad about a free pass to rest and eat ice cream! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you, Owyhee Oral Surgery and Dr. Hurst, for going above and beyond. Everything is appreciated- the kind and welcoming atmosphere, the clearly very knowledgeable provider and staff, the thorough care and post-op instruction. I felt like my safety and wellbeing was of the utmost importance to them.

  I can't express enough how wonderful this place is. My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed and each person treated us with such kindness, care and compassion. My daughter was extremely nervous and they made her feel at ease. Dr. Kilkuts explained the procedure in detail and took such great care of my daughter. I appreciate the call in the evening from Dr. Kilkuts checking on my daughter and answering questions I had. I highly recommend this office.

  Dr. Kilkuts is so awesome! My wisdom tooth removal was quick, painless, and I genuinely felt cared for! Excellent work at this office I can’t recommend it enough 👌

  Dr Malan and his staff are absolutely wonderful . From the ladies at the front desk who are so warm and friendly to his amazing assistant who treats you like a caring friend . Dr Malan took his time and explained things and was knowledgeable and caring . Such a peaceful office and a pleasant experience ! I highly recommend!

  I had a couple of wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. Malan. He did a fantastic job and he has an excellent client skills. The whole staff here is second to none. I couldn’t recommend Owyhee oral surgery more.
