  I’ve had a great experience with Iowa Clinic South Waukee! Dr. Donels is great - he asks thoughtful questions and takes time to listen. He’s never made me feel rushed, and answers all of my questions thoroughly. The PT department is great too; I’ve worked with Collin in the past and he too does a great job of explaining everything and answering my questions, and set me up with a home PT program once my in-office sessions were complete. Highly recommend!

  Our daughter suffered a severe arm fracture that required several months of therapy after her cast was removed. Her orthopedic doctor recommended occupational therapy due to the complexity of her injury. After researching pediatric-focused OT providers in the area and facing several unsuccessful attempts with other clinics, we finally found success with Iowa Clinic Physical Therapy. From the moment I called and explained her condition, the staff was attentive and thoughtful, pairing us with a therapist who was the perfect fit. Understandably, our daughter was very anxious before her first appointment, fearing it might be painful. However, after just one session with Abbie, she was excited to go back. We attended therapy sessions 1–2 times a week for three months, and our daughter genuinely looked forward to each visit. Abbie was incredible—she met our daughter at her level, both physically and emotionally. She built a trusting relationship, finding shared interests to make therapy fun and engaging. She was also extremely patient on days when our daughter was tired or not in the mood, whether it was early in the morning or after a long day at school. When therapy came to an end, our daughter was genuinely heartbroken—not because she wanted to continue the exercises, but because she would miss working with the amazing Abbie. We’re so grateful for the care, dedication, and kindness shown to our family. Highly recommend Iowa Clinic PT and especially Abbie!

  I don’t know if anyone has ever been less helpful on the phone or in person. Dr Donels or Donel seems to be a decent person through our meetings but the entire process of months trying to get a single test done with this office is impossible and improbably difficult. Dare I say it’s driving me insane. The inability to access the care they “offer” or care that you need is nothing short of astounding. No notes to nurses or “marking it as urgent” or help on the phones or calls back ever come through or ever help the process move forward.
