They got me in promptly for an emergency. That was great, I had Cassie for my assistant. I chipped a tooth, wasnt in pain but the tooth was jagged. She didn't explain what she was doing or when she was about to do it, she did tell me she was going to look at the tooth and shoved her finger in my mouth without asking if im ready, and did it as I was about to swollow spit before opening my mouth for her to examine and I accidentally bit her. I felt really bad, I have never had any issues at a dentist office. Normally they ask if you're ready and walk you through procedures. Doc was friendly and we talked about options, I told him I have jaw issues after my last dental procedure. After they told me the cost, I told them I needed to wait until I got paid. I told Cassie that I felt bad and I apologized again. She said no big deal, its happened before and probably not the last time. I came up with the money and called them, they got me in the next day, great! Went in for the appointment, I had Cassie again. I told her im having anxiety about getting my tooth worked on. I put my keys onto the chair next to the little gift bag they put out for me. I decided to fix the tooth instead of pulling it. She looked a little irritated and took everything off the tray and put new things out for the repair of the tooth. She said she needed to numb the area, I opened my mouth and she started numbing, I felt her put gauze in so I slowly started to shut my mouth, she said her finger is still there, I opened and then she said now shut and hold so it gets numb. She didn't talk the entire process, neither did the doc, they acted rushed, and he was really rough with my mouth and I felt his drill hit a top tooth. As she was putting water in my mouth it was splashing quite a bit and she wasn't sucking it out fast enough, it was pooling in the back of my throat and I kept gagging. Doc was acting impatient about me having to swallow. Everything was numb, so it was hard for me to hold the water without it draining down the back of my throat. Doc didnt ask how I was doing, Cassie didnt ask how I was doing, neither were talking during the process. He told me I was going to be sore for a few days and walked out. Cassie took the little gift bag off the chair and put it behind the desk and walked me to the door and said enjoy your day. I felt like the appointment was rushed and they didnt care how I felt. I paid before the procedure and then in and out. I understand they got me in quickly, but I could have waited. I almost feel like it was intentional in retaliation for me accidentally biting the assistant? Or the doc was behind schedule and didnt care if he was rough. Or maybe they were just having a bad day. After I decided to fix the tooth if they didn't have time for me I would have been ok with rescheduling.
