She recently lost her glasses, which are a medical necessity, and I was hoping the office would offer some affordable replacement options for low-income families. They do not. I previously paid over $300 out of pocket for her glasses, which is a significant financial burden. When I called today—less than an hour before our scheduled appointment—to confirm, I was told there were no affordability options whatsoever, and then informed that they no longer accept our insurance. This information was never communicated ahead of time, despite the appointment being scheduled for months. As a result, I had to cancel an important appointment and my child is left without glasses. Families with limited income need transparency and basic consideration when it comes to essential care. Unfortunately, this office provided neither.
