I came into lens crafters to get my glasses adjusted, a nice lady named Jackie helped me. She went above and beyond just adjusting my glasses and told me about glasses sizes and let me know which size would best fit my face which was awesome! I didn’t even know glasses had sizes. She was super nice and insightful! Overly pleased with her service! She even complimented my glasses!

I would recommend LensCrafters to anyone they make everything so easy and even on the Dr. Parsons side they are very helpful to get you in and out and they answer any questions you might have. I look forward to seeing the ladies on the LensCrafters side again so when I go to pick up my replacement lenses. When it comes to up selling, they are not high-pressure or anything and it’s very conversational and they’re very patient and thorough. I wish I got their names so I could mention them specifically, but the lady with the curly hair and pretty nails is my favorite! There’s a lady With gray hair and glasses that's super nice as well and these are the two people. I usually deal with when I come in. They are very knowledgeable about the different frames and give really great recommendations. The lady with the curly hair told me that you can use the sunglasses frames as glasses as well and I wanted to add that here in case anyone didn’t know that. Pro tip I guess. But yes, you will be guaranteed to have an amazing experience every time you come here!

I find that the staffs at both the Cedar Rapids and Waterloo Lenscrafters did not listen to what I told them regarding me submitting my post cataract surgery eyeglasses to my insurance. They both kept thinking that it was better to submit to my vision insurance, but why would I not choose to be 100% reimbursed over paying a co-pay through my vision insurance. Then the manager called to defend her employee. I think they should actually listen to their customer instead of assuming I don't know what's best for me. I love Dr. Parsons but will not purchase eyeglasses there again.

Dr. Parsons was great to work with. Went way above and beyond to get the right glasses for me. Only complaint is finding how to leave a review. 😆
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
