First time I went there I felt rushed. They gave me no time to explain my physical problems that I was having and second time even worse!
Don’t go to this place!! They treat you very poorly as soon as you walk in the door!!
Brittany is the worst Doctor ever!!!!
Had appointment at 130, got there at 132 had to Wait for receptionist for 5 mins so I used my phone to call and then someone came up to the front.
Then they told me they can’t see me and to go to urgent care. I never heard of a 2 min window

My mom was 100 when she died in September. Her major symptom was a loss of appetite and feeling full and sometimes nauseated when she ate even three bites. Her saga follows:
The day of my mom's death, she was to be transferred to Taylor Hospice. That morning, she was chatting with her daughter-in-law, fussing with her hearing aids while awaiting transfer. According to her medical record, she had a pain score of 3/10. My mom had chronic pain from arthritis, so this was not surprising.
At 938 AM, as I said, she was alert and oriented. She was given Dilaudid 2 mg and Ativan 0.5 mg. At 1030 AM, it was charted she was sleeping but easily aroused. I was waiting to receive her at Taylor Hospice at 11:30 AM and she was nonresponsive to any stimuli. She never regained consciousness and died that night at 11:25 PM.
Dilaudid and Ativan are both central nervous depressants and there is a Black Box warning against giving them together. I believe the staff who ordered these medications, filled the medications and gave the medications - killed my mom. It was no coincidence she was alert and oriented at 938 AM and was non-responsive at 11:30 AM.
She had two PCP's at the Iowa Clinic in Ankeny. One was a fill- in because she couldn't get into her regular PCP. We saw Dr. Haas when the no appetite began. Dr. Haas ordered blood work but failed to do an abdominal exam. My mom never got on the exam table.
Her regular PCP was Dr. Jarmakoni, at the Ankeny Iowa Clinic. We wanted to find out if this was something serious, in which case my mom would decline further treatment, or something that could be treated non-interventionally. I messaged Dr. J. through my mom's portal over 20 times in six days. I could not get her to order an outpatient test/x-ray. I finally had to get the patient advocate involved. She would suggest the ER but my mom wouldn't go to the ER. I also think she misread an X-ray.
My mom had two PCP's involved, two urgent care visits, an ER visit and two hospital stays. And no one would address the no eating/feeling full/nausea symptoms.
Iowa Clinic physicians follow Iowa Clinic patients at Methodist. The first hospitalization at Methodist West only one diagnostic test was done - an X-ray. My mom was discharged after two days and was no better.
The second hospitalization took place within a few days of the first discharge. It was not until the last full day of her hospitalization that a sensible ultrasound was ordered. It was not good news but at least it was information to go on.
I see Brittany since I moved here and she’s been very nice and helpful, listening to what I say. She was even able to make my prescriptions 90 days since I will be in between insurances. All staff here is amazing
The nurses here are totally incompetent. Be careful what you send in the portal because if they misread it or don’t understand they’ll just terminate you as a patient without even discussing it or asking questions. It takes days sometimes a week to get your medication refilled or get test results they just add a note in the portal that they called and left a message when they don’t and if you ask questions they get snippy with you. They treat you like you’re inconveniencing them even though that’s literally their job is to take care of patients and answer questions which they don’t do. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic if you were dying and they were the only ones open.

Nice clinic even traveling from outside of West Des Moines. The staff is nice and welcoming. Dr. Sinklier is fantastic! He is super nice, friendly and listens well to your concerns. He comes up with a plan with you that you feel good about. He is great with OMT treatment too! Each time I have left the clinic I feel great knowing that my health/concerns are taken care of and in good hands.
I could go to a clinic minutes from my house but I feel comfortable going to this clinic with Dr. Sinklier even if it is 30 min away. Worth the drive!
