  Dr. Teruya and his office staff have been providing excellent dental care to my children for almost 25 years - including referrals for orthodontic work that had amazing results for my kids’ smiles. I wouldn’t change one thing!

  After carefully researching many dentists in the area, we decided to go with Dr. Teruya at Pedodontic Associates. The receptionist and dental hygienists were friendly, professional, and very helpful, which made our initial experience positive. However, during our first visit, we found that Dr. Teruya came across as somewhat distant and not particularly friendly. Despite that, we chose to stay with the practice and even referred others. We received a diagnosis that concerned us, and we told Dr. Teruya we wanted to wait before proceeding with treatment and possibly seek a second opinion — something quite normal and well within our rights as patients. To our surprise, when we later tried to schedule another appointment, we discovered that our account had been deactivated and removed from their system entirely, leaving our children without a dentist. Even during an emergency dental situation, the office refused to see them. We found this response extremely disappointing and difficult to understand. It’s unfortunate that such a small difference of opinion led to such an unprofessional and overly sensitive reaction.

  Friendly and very professional staff so full of Aloha. We love Dr. Luke Teruya, he is knowledgeable, professional, and down to earth. So many great reasons to choose this Pedodontic office for your child’s dental care.
