Both my boyfriend and I have recently been to this shop and I cannot recommend it highly enough. My boyfriend is legally blind and so is a special case and the Optometrist Jayne spent extra time making sure she got exactly the right prescriptions for him and that they'd looked at his eye health as much as possible. We were then passed over to Lin who spent ages finding exactly the right frames for him, he needed smaller ones as the prescriptions were so strong and it would be too heavy if the frames were too big. She didn't just go for the most expensive either, she made sure he was perfectly happy before we moved on and also asked the optician to sign off on it as he was a special case. Malcolm was great when we came to pick them up as well! For me, Jess, the Optometrist, was fantastic and spent ages trying to help me as I came with a specific eye problem and she made sure I was looked after and investigated to the fullest of her ability and I felt reassured and happy that all was well. I didn't feel pressured to buy glasses even though it's their stock and trade and everyone was just so friendly and fantastic. I cannot recommend this shop enough to anyone needing help.

Came away with wrong prescription, was seeing double vision with cars coming towards me. Went back and seen somebody else who retested me and gave me the correct prescription.. Then was ignored on the way out by the person who.gave me the eye test in the first place with no apology or acknowledgement.

I only go here because of Jayne Hughes, she's an amazing lady. Always very bubbley, smiley and happy to help. Being autistic I find it very hard to trust and find people I feel comfortable around. With Jayne I feel very relaxed and happy to be there, It feels like ive known her for years. I had a bad experience with another Specsavers branch years ago, So I was very hesitant to go back to a different store. I'm so glad I did because I meet the wonderful Jayne. I always ask to be booked in with her and I will wait weeks if she's not available to see straight away, I will not see anyone else. Jayne is a credit to Specsavers and she deserves to be recognised for her amazing work.
