TBF the optician was absolutely fantastic. This 1 star review goes to the customer service woman. Went in for a sight test and paid the extra £10 for the in-depth test (£35 total). The optician was fantastic answering all my questions and being patient with me. I then went out to the shop to pay and shown all the frames. I explained that I have some frames already that I would like glazed and asked if I could just take my prescription as they cannot glaze frames from other companies. I was immediately made to feel like I had done something wrong because they like you to spend £100s in store on 'their' frames. I was begrudgingly given my prescription. I looked at the prescription once home only to find it confusing. I rang Specsavers Droitwich for advice and the lady who answered was so rude (still bitter from me taking my money elsewhere) and didn't have a clue and told me I should consult the online company for advice. I asked if there was anybody there that 'could' help me and she came back to the phone and said no. I explained that I had just paid £35 for a sight test and would like help understanding the numbers on my prescription. She said I need an optician to advise me so I asked if one could come to the phone and help me. She again repeated that I should consult the online company for the advice. Wow. Talk about being bitter that I'm taking my money elsewhere. I told her she's treating me like a criminal and she said 'I beg your pardon don't speak to me like that' and then put the phone down. Don't bother going if you know you're not going to buy the frames they make you feel like you are criminal. RUDE! Edit: in response to Specsavers below. I don’t use Facebook, Instagram or X. I have raised this directly with Specsavers customer services instead. I’m happy for the issue to be addressed transparently rather than being diverted off‑platform.

I went in needing my 2 year eye check and they explained everything really well on how my eyes have changed and also were very helpful deciding which glasses to choose

I went to specsavers Droitwich because I was having trouble with one of my eyes. The staff were excellent and following an examination I was put at ease that there was no serious problem. I was recommended some eye drops which have already improved my eye
