  Never met such a rude set of people, the young lad has a very big attitude problem and avoids answering any questions. They won’t refresh the system to pull prescriptions down. If I could give minus starts I would. This is the 4th time now this has happened. There so poor and under trained and terrible manors. Really not hard to smile and customer service

  I don’t usually leave negative reviews (my profile is almost entirely 5-star), but this experience was extremely frustrating to witness. Also be aware that this was after my sister was just discharged from hospital from a tonsillectomy, she could barely speak, and had to go to a pharmacy as the hospital could not prescribe the required drugs due to the current doctors strike. My sister attended with a prescription for 2 items and asked to collect 1, as she already had 1 at home, so explained she wanted to collect that later. The staff member said she needed to check, then came back and said this couldn’t be done, it all had to be collected now. My sister then agreed to take everything, but after initially giving a price for this, the same staff member returned again, and said it was too late, kept saying “you said you didn’t want it” (that’s not what was said) and involved the manager/pharmacist. We were then told by the manager/pharmacist that the medication could not be supplied and advised to contact 111 or go back to hospital instead, as it would be fraud if they gave it. The communication was inconsistent and the attitude towards my sister became increasingly condescending, with them repeatedly suggesting she should have already known the rules. (I did say that perhaps in future they should explain the rules at the start, not at the end - we are not medical professionals!) She left without this medication and has had to go back to her GP to resolve it and get a new prescription. A completely avoidable situation and a waste of time for everyone involved. I’ve since found out that this medication (tranexamic acid) can be supplied by a pharmacist without a prescription where appropriate, which makes the lack of support shown here even more frustrating, as just further proves that they chose to be unhelpful.

  I called 111 tonight trying to get confirmation on dosage of medication for my son. The Dr that called me back was chocolate tea pot levels of helpful, when all I needed was a yes or no answer. As part of his closing speil he recommend I go to my local pharmacy within 24 hours. Deflated I was eliated to get an unexpected call from the pharmacy ten minutes later and they were reassuring, personable and most importantly able to answer my question. Additionally they gave me bespoke advice that made a genuine difference in helping to make him feel settled. Thank you for taking the time to go above and beyond.

  person on phone laughed at me after my go said they send a fit note for me to pick up and i called to see if they sent it to where i get my prescriptions and they lady laughed at me saying we don’t do fit notes and could hear her laughing to her colleagues the worst customer service i’ve ever had and honestly rude wouldn’t bother making a query here would just belittle you

  Mostly, the staff here are really polite, friendly and helpful - on one occasion, a member of staff went out of her way to help solve a problem for me. Unfortunately that is often overshadowed by the odd member of staff that is rude and abrupt, and who makes you feel like you’re an inconvenience for simply asking if a prescription is ready.
