The service was most efficient, detailed and professional. They had a good listening ear to hear and understand my needs especially to do with my DVLA requirements.

I would be unlikely to recommend this branch based on my recent experience. I booked a contact lens check online and, upon arrival, was asked a series of health questions by a younger member of staff who seemed unsure and confused by some of my answers. This did not give me much confidence that the information was being recorded or understood correctly. I was then taken for preliminary testing and asked whether I needed to remove my contact lenses. I was told that I did and was shown to an area to take them out. As soon as I had removed them, a member of staff came over and told me that I actually needed to keep them in and asked me to put them back in. This was inconvenient and seemed poorly organised. When I saw the optician, I was told that my eyes looked dry. Given that I had just removed my contact lenses and then immediately put them back in again because of the earlier mistake, I do not feel this observation was particularly meaningful. The examination at this stage felt very brief. I was then asked to wash my hands and remove my lenses again. The sink area provided for this was in a very poor condition. It was visibly dirty, with staining and a noticeable build-up of dust. For an area where customers are expected to handle contact lenses and touch their eyes, I found this unacceptable and unhygienic. The discussion about my contact lens wear was equally frustrating. I was repeatedly asked how often I remove my lenses, how often I change them, and how often I sleep in them. Each time I explained that they are monthly continuous-wear lenses which I leave in and replace once a month. Despite this, I felt I was being asked the same question in different ways, as though my answers were not being listened to or understood. This was representative of the tone of the entire appointment and left me feeling that there was very little attention being paid to what I was actually saying. Overall, the appointment felt disorganised, communication between staff appeared inconsistent, and the cleanliness standards in the contact lens handling area were disappointing. The experience has been poor enough that I have already moved my children's eye care elsewhere and am now looking to move my own care and contact lens services to another provider. As a long-standing customer, this is not a decision I have taken lightly, but the appointment left me with very little confidence in the standard of care being provided.

Well, I do like Specsavers, except for one thing. Like all audiology shops here in the UK, that is, no one will work with hearing aids obtained from other sources. I bought the ones I have now when I was living in the USA. One has stopped working, and no one here will fix it, yet they all supply the same make. WHY? I can buy a new set for £2K, or I could get a flight back to the USA for 2 weeks for £1500 and see my daughter.

Pure chaos in the store, so many workers just aimlessly running around, seems like poor communication between staff. Had the luck to be “served” by Rachel who was incredibly condescending from the start, spoke to me like I have trouble understanding English. Usually I go to the Worcester branch and I never had any problems with them putting my lenses in frames but apparently it was nearly impossible for the Evesham branch and specifically Rachel. When I told her about my experience and what I got done at Spacsavers in Worcester she just kept saying ‘no’, like it wasn’t true and that’s not what happened. Not to mention that she wouldn’t let me finish any of my sentences. Sounded like there wouldn’t be any issues if I purchased a frame from them instead of bringing in my own. Terrible experience, provide some training to your colleagues on how to speak to their clients and have manners.

Not impressed It was my first ever eye test and nothing was explained in depth. I felt I was rushed through the process, the equipment was daunting and I felt as if I should have known what to do and expect. Unfortunately at one point, I am sure the equipment was actually blocking my view, as I was sat too far back and it was uncomfortable! I had to cancel my order when I got home as my head was spinning. I then had to do my own search. If I had not I would have ended up with 3 pairs of pointless glasses. On my return visit, things did improve and I was actually given sample frames with “my” lenses strength in them to try, and test the different lenses. Much better! The Evesham store does not have toilets which is totally inconvenient when you could be in there for over an hour.
