- PLPat LaneMar 28, 20261.0My husband and I have been clients of Vision Express Twyford for several years and were always extremely happy with the service until our last encounter which was truly appalling. Over a month ago my husband ordered and paid for a pair of prescription glasses with the facility to wear in sunlight. We are going on holiday in 2 days time ( leaving early Monday morning March 30th.)For the last week we have tried numerous times to get an answer as to when the glasses would be ready, stressing that they were needed for our upcoming holiday. We have spent an inordinate length of time in trying to access the store and to get an answer as to when the glasses would be ready. Firstly, it is extremely difficult to access the store, with the phone often going unanswered. When my husband did get through he was either told they would phone him back later the same day or the next day. This NEVER happened. Yesterday I contacted The complaints department of Vision Express and even they were unable to get through to the store! Today we were told the glasses were not ready but as “ a gesture of goodwill” they would only charge half the price for the glasses. This goes no way to address the frustrating and stressful experience we have had in trying to get through to Vision Express Twyford and the fact that my husband now has to go on holiday with inadequate eye wear.They could not specify a date when the glasses would be ready so we have paid full price for glasses which we have not received and have been given no date as to when they will be ready. We will be taking our custom elsewhere and would not recommend this establishment.
