  I wouldn’t usually leave a review, but I felt compelled to mention Lia. She is always so personable, friendly and welcoming, and genuinely makes you feel valued as a customer. It’s clear that she really cares and goes out of her way to make people feel comfortable. Such a lovely person and a real credit to David Lloyd!

  Lisa is INCREDIBLE. I absolutely love her classes, LBT, and Conditioning for wellness. Her classes are seemingly easy but they creep up on you and are REALLY challenging. She's a fantastic instructor. I always leave her classes feeling great! Thank you! X

  I had a fantastic experience at David Lloyd Clubs. The facilities are amazing, with everything being very well maintained, clean, and presented to a really high standard. There’s also a great atmosphere throughout the club, which makes it feel welcoming and enjoyable from the moment you walk in. A special mention has to go to Evan, who was absolutely brilliant. He took the time to explain all of the facilities and what the club has to offer in great detail, answering all of my questions and making sure I fully understood everything. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout.

  I cancelled my membership in July and they advised no further payments were due, but the money was taken on the 1st August and I’ve been chasing a refund ever since. I’m constantly passed around to different people on email, they advised a refund was given weeks ago but I’m still waiting for the payment. I’m 5 months pregnant and really don’t appreciate the lying/back and forth. The gym is average and swimming pool has been closed months. There’ definitely better gyms in the area.

  I have been a member for a few years, but id recommend people considering signing up avoid this club. The swimming pool - one of the club’s main facilities and a major reason many people join - has now been closed for over three months, with no reopening date and no indication of when it will return. It was also closed for a similar period last year. What has frustrated me most is not the closure itself. Structural issues are not the fault of the club. It is how the manager has chosen to treat members afterwards. Despite the closure being indefinite, David Lloyd is refusing to allow members to leave their memberships. I asked the club manager, Andy, what contractual or legal basis they were relying on to keep members tied into agreements despite such a significant reduction in the service being provided. He was unable to explain the legal or contractual basis for that position. I have since raised the same question formally through their complaints process and am still waiting for a response. Instead, members are offered a membership freeze, extending their contracts until the pool may eventually reopen, or a small fee reduction. Neither is an adequate response to the indefinite loss of one of the club’s principal facilities. It feels as though they’ve been fleeced by their contractors and are now putting the financial burden on members. The gym itself is good enough, and many of the staff are friendly. My issue is with how the company is handling this at a management level. If a principal facility is unavailable indefinitely, customers should be allowed to leave their memberships because what they contracted for is no longer available. Instead, members are being expected to continue paying for a service that is materially different from the one they signed up for.
