  Extremely disappointing customer service Incredibly frustrating experience with David Lloyd. I contacted the club to arrange an early cancellation and was told the General Manager would process it. I relied on that information and made alternative arrangements, only to discover that nothing had been done and I was still expected to pay for the remainder of the notice period. Management has since hidden behind internal procedures, insisting that the request should have been submitted through the app, rather than taking accountability for the advice given by their own staff. With no call recording available, I’m left in a position where my recollection of the conversation appears to count for very little. For a premium gym charging premium prices, I expected far better customer service, flexibility and accountability. Instead, the experience has felt bureaucratic and entirely focused on protecting the company’s contractual position rather than treating a customer fairly. Think carefully before committing to a membership.

  It's a pathetic experience after staying as a member for more than 3 years. Their pool and sauna remain closed for almost whole year. I really want to cancel the membership due to this. The app support doesn't bother to reply. I won't't recommend this gym to anyone.

  When you come to sign up for a membership and set up a direct debit, they are very quick to respond and collect your money. When it comes to discussing cancellation options, it’s impossible to do so, almost nobody replies and receptionists (only ones to respond) respond in a passive aggressive, defensive manner. Ridiculous for a club and brand of this calibre. Very disappointing service.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I genuinely can’t speak highly enough of the team at David Lloyd, especially Daisy, Alex, Leah and Alexia. They have made such a huge difference to my experience at the gym and are a massive part of what makes the environment feel so welcoming, positive and enjoyable. From the moment I walk through the doors, they are always incredibly friendly, approachable and welcoming. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure members are comfortable and having a good experience. What really stands out to me is that their kindness never feels forced they genuinely take the time to check in, have a conversation, ask how things are going and make you feel like more than just another member walking through the doors. They have always been extremely forthcoming whenever I’ve needed help with anything. Whether it’s answering questions, helping with something around the facility, pointing me in the right direction or simply taking the time to speak to me, they are always willing to help. Even the little things make a massive difference, and they consistently make the gym feel like a much better environment. I’ve been around gyms for a long time, and I can honestly say that staff like Alex, Daisy, Leah & Alexia are what can really separate one gym from another. Having people who are genuinely friendly, attentive and invested in creating a good atmosphere makes such a difference to the overall experience. They are also incredibly observant when it comes to the facility itself and always seem to care about making things better for everyone. You can tell that they take pride in what they do, and that attitude has a knock-on effect on the atmosphere of the whole gym. I particularly appreciate how they regularly check in on me and remember little things from previous conversations. It makes you feel recognised and valued rather than just being another membership number. That level of customer service is something you don’t always come across, and I think it deserves to be recognised. Alex, Daisy, Leah & Alexia — thank you for everything you do. You genuinely make my experience at David Lloyd ten times better, and your effort, friendliness and willingness to help absolutely does not go unnoticed. David Lloyd should be proud to have people like you representing the club. You make the environment more welcoming, positive and enjoyable, and I genuinely look forward to seeing you when I’m there. An absolute credit to David Lloyd. 5 stars without hesitation!

  I always have a positive experience when I visit David Lloyd Maidenhead. I have been a member since March 2026 and thoroughly enjoy the yoga classes, especially fitness Pilates and power yoga with Nita! She teaches my favourite style of yoga that makes you sore (in a good way!) the next day. I always have helpful and positive interactions with one of the girls on the front desk, Micki. She always helps me with any questions I might have and is always greeting me with a smile and also a goodbye when I am leaving!
