  I received excellent customer service and professional treatment throughout my visit. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. However, the pricing was extremely difficult to justify. For a single pair of varifocal lenses with one of the cheapest frames in the store (£50), the total came to around £380. Adding a second pair increased the cost to approximately £627. Even after applying an NHS voucher, the final amount was still £446.90. In today’s market, several reputable UK online providers offer comparable-quality glasses for £130 or less. Thanks to online research and price comparison tools, it is easy to see the significant difference in cost. The service was undoubtedly good, but the key question remains: does excellent customer service alone justify paying hundreds of pounds more for a pair of glasses, especially when many customers are already struggling with the rising cost of living? For me, the answer is No. Great service should be appreciated, but pricing should also remain fair and accessible.

  My optician was brilliant. An excellent and comprehensive eye examination. After service was very poor. No one available so left without purchasing new glasses for a new prescription. To be fair the shop did seem quite busy.

  Me and my husband had appointments today. My appointment with the optician was good he was friendly and explained my eye health. We both came out at the same time and compared prescriptions. My husband chose a pair of glasses and wanted to enquire about the scheme available including sunglasses. A member of staff walked past us to greet a chap who popped in to ask a question about the scheme. We stood for around 15 minutes nobody came to us so we left. We realised later we had not paid for our appointment. I phoned to pay and said we got fed up of waiting. The lady on the phone was lovely but did not ask us to return or offer any suggestions about how we could go back and sort out new glasses. I am sorry but you have lost 2 customers and we would both have spent significant money in your store. We had a booked appointment and feel we should have been prioritised over a drop in enquiry. We have made an appointment to buy our glasses elsewhere. :(
