  Most staff are okay. However, if you make a complaint to front desk to certain people they look and speak to you like YOU’RE the problem. Pool and spa facilities seem to be consistently under maintenance. Can’t opt to pay DD on a date that suits you. Need to open at 5am on Fridays. The only thing that keeps us there is the kids facilities and the fact there’s no major competitor nearby (which I’m sure is why they generally don’t care about their members experience). If/when this changes, we’re off!

  Facilities are great, some stuff is a bit tired but generally a really well equipped gym. The HUGE issue, it’s clearly over subscribed. I could go at 6am or 2pm or 11am and no matter what time I go, completely rammed, it’s basically Pure Gym or The Gym for £125+ What’s the point in top notch facilities if you oversubscribe the gym to such a level that getting workout in is so challenging people don’t want to go?

  I went to the swimming pool with my three-year-old daughter to enjoy some quality time together. I entered the pool with her at first and stayed with her for a while, then I stepped out for a few minutes to rest while standing right in front of her and watching her the entire time. I was surprised by the way one of the lifeguards spoke to me. She told me that I either had to get back into the pool next to my daughter or take her out of the water. She could have explained this in a respectful and polite way instead of speaking in such an upsetting manner. After that, she called the manager, who came and spoke to me in the same disrespectful way, telling me again that I had to get into the pool with my daughter or remove her from the pool, without any respect or consideration for the customer. Honestly, it was a very unpleasant experience, and I did not feel comfortable because of the rude treatment and unprofessional attitude. Respect and good customer service are very important, and I hope the staff’s way of dealing with customers will improve in the future.

  I have recently joined David Lloyd, Worthing. My experience thus far has been great. Thank you to Rosa who has been very helpful and supportive. No question has been silly or small, Rosa has been prompt in responding, even today she left work to meet me to answer a query that I had. The whole team at the gym have been welcoming. I had a choice of gyms to choose from but choose DL because of the high standards. The membership is value for money considering the facilities and services on offer. I had the benefit of a reduced joining fee and also received three vouchers to use against massage or training - think that's a fantastic offer! Thank you lovely Rosa - I have been impressed by what a professional and courteous young person you are! As asset to the organization. Wishing you a wonderful career. Tasha
