I’ve had such a great experience at David Lloyd Acton, and I especially want to highlight the excellent service from the reception team. Douaa and Ellie are always so welcoming, friendly and professional
they truly make a difference every time I visit. They’re attentive, efficient, and go out of their way to help with anything you need, whether it’s booking classes, answering questions, or just greeting everyone with a smile.

My family spent the day at the pool and wefound the lifeguards to be rude and dismissive when my mum asked a question.
In the indoor pool my mum witnessed a man kick his little daughter into the pool, the little girl was crying and telling the dad not to touch her under the water. The lifeguards were not paying attention to this. My mum went to go and check on the little girl, she also let a staff member know what was going on. Terrible.

We joined DL Acton 2 months ago and have not regretted it. We are 2 adults with 2 boys under 6. The kids clubs are incredible, the staff amazing.
The gym is a good size with all the equipment needed.
We are in the pool every weekend and love seeing both kids progress with their swimming.
Best family decision we have made to join DL Acton, and just in time for the sun and outdoor pool!

Nice facilities but what makes it better is when you are being treated to a top tier, professional service by Abdullah. Initially, we had no serious plans on joining a new gym, but he went above and beyond to explain the importance of health and ensuring that we understood the consequences when you are only looking for a ‘cheaper’ option elsewhere. A real emphasis was placed on the value of investing in yourself. He gave us time to show us around all the areas of this place, the working area, the cafe, the gym itself, the spa, the tennis/padel facilities and much more! I would like to say a big thank you to Abdullah for the effort and for giving us a real, honest consultation and explaining everything in real detail. Would highly recommend not just these facilities, but also to see him if you are looking for a new place to train, as he will ensure that you are taken care of with the right membership.

It’s been a year since I’ve become a member of DL.
What I like: a variety of classes (spin, HIIT, yoga, barre, Pilates) - there’s always a time that works. Spa area is nice, never too crowded. Always enough space to swim in the pool (I’m comparing with FF so can see the difference).
Really great outdoor space in the summer when it’s hot. In the gym, even during peak times, doesn’t feel like you’re a sardine in a barrel.
There’s a nice lounge kids-free area - to work or read if you want a bit more peace and quiet.
Monthly quizzes are great, my husband and I won a massage session! Sports massage guy, Edwin, gives the best massages ever.
So there are lots of positives.
What I find weird for a premium fitness club is service. 1) it’s very rare when I am greeted at the reception (not a simple Hello even if I say it first) and there’s no rush from receptionist to give me a towel. Have to ask for it every time, never offered. 2) I had to report issues in the shower and the changing room (broken soap dispensers, cold water, broken locker door). It took weeks to fix a shower cubicle and I’m still unsure if there’s hot water, I just avoid it now. 3) the steam room broke several times and it took a while to fix it. 4) jacuzzi floor went loose months ago and is still not fixed. 5) cafe service is really slow (not a deal breaker but still).
In general, I’d say I would expect a bit more from a £200 membership, especially since it doesn’t cost anything to be friendly to your guests.
Overall it’s good, it’s close to home and has a variety of different things but a combination of small negative things removes that “premium” feeling. Doesn’t feel premium, just expensive 😄
