I take my grandson for swimmig lessons. I worked hard to build his water confidence. He was doing really well, but Richard, his tutor, has brought him on so much in just a few weeks. He has a way of getting him to try all sorts of new things. My grandson loves his lessons and I cant praise the standard of guidance enough.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The changing rooms and showers are clean. The pool is a nice size but it could be a bit warmer. I understand the financial pressures involved in these difficult times.

I just felt the gym needed an upgrade. Recently moved into the area and sign up to the membership for a week. Not cheap membership and had a high expectation that was not met. Gym facilities needed a massive improvement or replacement. In comparison to other gyms like Ponsforge (which is half the monthly price) they have more gym equipments and facilities.
The men showers and lock rooms could be better. I felt the water pressure could be better along with more close off areas as we are not in the old days where people show their private areas around the shower. That's children and teenager through which I don't think it is appropriate.
However, people are really nice and I am hoping to see more improvement been done. Especially the tennis court as it is an eye sore with the broken fences. Would like to see them introduce like badminton courts to invite another group of sport enthusiast.

I booked adult group swimming lessons for my wife on a monthly subscription. After attending five sessions, we were very disappointed with the quality of instruction.
The instructor never entered the water and provided no demonstrations of swimming technique, breathing, or body position. The sessions felt more like supervision than teaching, with very limited guidance beyond asking participants whether they wanted to swim on their front or back. There was no clear structure, progression, or practical coaching that you would reasonably expect from paid swimming lessons.
Feels like a scam!

I recently visited Graves Health and Sports Centre with my family for the first time, and I must say it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.
A special mention goes to Elaine at the pool reception, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. She went out of her way to assist us in setting up Savers cards for my wife and children, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. Her friendly attitude really made a great first impression.
I would also like to thank Debra from the first aid team. My 5-year-old daughter had a small fall on the pavement outside, and Debra responded quickly and kindly. She checked on her and provided treatment, which was very reassuring for us as parents.
The facilities themselves are excellent. The pool area is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for families. The Family Swim timings are convenient, and we felt very comfortable throughout our visit. The changing rooms are spacious and well-organized.
What stood out the most for us was the accessibility. The accessible changing room was a real blessing for our disabled daughter, making our visit much easier and more enjoyable. The centre is clearly designed with inclusivity in mind, and the location is easy to access for people with disabilities.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and created lovely family memories. I would highly recommend Graves Health and Sports Centre to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and inclusive place to spend time with family.
