  I recently joined the gym and honestly had such a great experience from the moment I walked in. I was a little nervous at first, but the Antonia made everything so easy and welcoming. She was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain all the membership options without any pressure at all. What stood out most was how comfortable she made me feel and how genuinely helpful she was throughout the whole process. Thanks to her positive attitude and support, I felt confident signing up and excited to start my fitness journey. Really happy with my decision to join and looking forward to achieving my goals here!   Miss sell you a plan and have stopped my kids from coming in and have been paying for nearly a whole year and not used the gym, advised a parent can come supervise when the parent came they advised need member ship , massive miss selling from sales agents

  We had a fantastic experience at David Lloyd Nottingham, and a big thank you to Mel for making it such a positive one. She took the time to clearly explain all of the facilities and membership options, and made everything really easy to understand from the start. Nothing felt rushed, and we felt genuinely looked after. The club itself is brilliant – really impressed with the range of facilities and especially how family-friendly it is. It feels like a great environment for both adults and children, which was exactly what we were looking for. Overall, we’re very happy and excited to be part of the club. Thanks again to Mel for such a warm and helpful introduction!

  We recently rejoined David Lloyd Clubs, having previously been members for about a year. One of the main reasons we came back is that it’s one of the few places locally offering both tennis and a pool, which is a real advantage. However, the overall experience this time has been underwhelming, especially given the cost. On the positive side, onboarding was smooth and the staff member we initially dealt with (Josh) was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, things have not been as good since. We’ve had ongoing issues with the membership card and app (including the wallet link not working for me, while working for my kid on the same app and recurring “something went wrong” errors). Trying to resolve this has been frustrating — reception staff are polite, but often lack the technical knowledge to deal with these problems. They also tend to insist on resolving issues at the desk rather than directing you to appropriate support channels, also forcing you to use the app while it is clearly not working, which leads to long and ultimately unproductive interactions. Two weeks in, I still cannot fluently come into the club without a receptionist desparately trying to help me without any resolution. More generally about the club: the front-of-house experience is inconsistent. While some staff are warm and welcoming, others can come across as disengaged or lacking in approachability. Facilities are also underwhelming. Although some areas (like the changing rooms) have been renovated, cleanliness and upkeep are not at the level expected, particularly in wet areas such as the steam room where discolouration and possible mold formation at the ceiling is apparent. Overall, the club feels quite dated compared to what you would expect at this price point. The carpet tennis courts are one of a kind, and not ideal as they affect the play performance. The gym has a good range of equipment, but I have seen much cheaper gyms with more modern devices and better variety. There are some good classes and some really nice trainers, whereas some are not at all approachable. The café is another weak point, with food that doesn’t match the standard you’d expect. We were initially interested in the crèche, but the heavy use of screens during parent–toddler sessions put us off, so we no longer use it. The soft play area is a great feature, but it is not cleaned very well, very ocassionally children being allowed in with food (even ice cream), making it a mess with no staff warning them or their parents. Having used the club before, all these feels like a decline rather than an improvement. Overall, it's an ok club, so not a 1* but not good at all given the price.
