  Our had a great experience for our club tour with Sukhraj, he showed us around the club and answered all of our questions. He took the time to explain the membership in detail with so much patience. Northwood David Lloyd is a great gym and thanks to Sukhraj and helping us to sign up as members we will be frequent users!

  This club is great overall however if you want to bring your kids for a swim, be aware as a few families dont take a shower before entering the pool which means that you will end up swimming in other people's sweat and dirt. Club refuses to put a sign up reminding people to shower before entering pool.

  The club’s current cancellation policy has made it extremely difficult — often impossible — to book many classes. Because members are penalised even if they cancel within the 24‑hour window, many avoid cancelling altogether. This sometimes leaves classes showing as “fully booked” while plenty of spaces remain empty, preventing members who genuinely want to attend from booking. It unfairly penalises members with busy jobs and unpredictable family responsibilities — all of which can change at a moment’s notice. In these situations, attending a class simply isn’t possible, yet the policy punishes members for circumstances completely outside their control. Other gyms, such as Virgin Active, allow cancellations up to 30 minutes before a class, creating a system that is flexible, inclusive, and far more effective at ensuring classes are actually filled and members can benefit from their membership.

  We had a great introduction to David Lloyd Northwood! Our tour with Stefan was really detailed and highlighted all the excellent facilities the club has. We've been members for a month now and have visited nearly everyday! Its a very welcoming club, consistently clean, and considering everything it offers, great value for money. Highly recommend!!

  My partner and I recently joined and have been pretty dissapointed from the get go. It appears the good reviews are from some sort of promo not the actual club which is a shame as I wish I had looked closer. Over priced, not worth the money, it’s a lovely gym but for the price they’re asking for now it’s not worth it, it’s often dirty, they charge extra for some classes and do not even offer guest passes on extortionate membership - it feels like money grabbing rather than commitment to offering a premium service. It feels like more of a youth club with teenagers hanging around everywhere , young people working behind the counter not the most helpful as I think a lot is out of their hands unfortunately, but a lot of lovely staff at the front desk and also food counters. The classes aren’t premium either , many of the instructors aren’t great, I was expecting London boutique level classes from David Lloyd’s but think more leisure centre gym. If you want premium I would go to third space as worth the money and you will get that luxury feel. They definatley need to step it up if they want to continue charging the prices they currently are.
