  It was a real pleasure to have staff member Ellie Birtles showing me around David Lloyd health club. Ellie was so friendly and knowledgeable, beyond helpful and so professional. The scope of the facilities ( whether it be health spa, gym, swimming pool ,cafe, workspace etc) absolutely blew my mind! There genuinely is such a friendly, supportive family atmosphere there. It was a natural brainer to become a member. Thank you Ellie, and all the great staff and club members!

  The facility itself is really incredible. A fully formed leisure centre with tonnes of rooms and space. Office home work space, tennis courts, squash courts, multiple pools, spa, cafe. Its really fantastic. I dont give 5 stars though because for a premium location and price (£200 a month or more) they have very poor customer service. It is very hard to contact someome about membership issues or problems with the app. The app has a few issues too. Its generally ok but there is almost no support. The app links to emails for support that are no longer working and I find it extremely hard to get someone to answer the phone on reception and although they are good staff there they cannot help with queries about memberships or the app. I am still a regular member and do love the place but its a shame that the company has such poor levels of support considering what a premium service it is. If they fixed this aspect I would give the gym 5 stars no questions! Also this 4 stars does not reflect my feelings towards my PT too who is Mark Hargreeves and he is fantastic and definitely a 5 star PT.

  Very disappointing experience with the admin team at David Lloyd. As someone who runs businesses across London and Manchester, I was genuinely considering joining. However, the way I was treated felt low quality and far below what you would expect from a premium brand. The customer service was unhelpful from the start. I was simply told the membership costs £199, with no effort to explain options, offers, or tailor anything to my needs. There was no real conversation—just a flat response. What made it worse was the lack of flexibility: no day pass available and no proper tour offered to view the facilities before committing. Overall, a very underwhelming experience and not the level of professionalism or service I expected

  Feedback on membership experiences at David Llyod Trafford, particularly in relation to the recent price increases and facilities provided. Firstly, I would like to address the communication response taken after initially signing up. While the first interaction is welcoming and conducted in person, subsequent communications are directed through the David Llyod app. This shift feels impersonal and frustrating, especially when it comes to membership renewals. This year, I have encountered two price hikes which have prompted me to question whether the value offered justifies these increases. The outdoor pool, which is notably small, has had significant issues, such as being unheated during January and February, rendering it unsuitable. Furthermore, when considering the capacity, it often becomes overcrowded, especially during school holidays, making it an uncomfortable experience to enjoy. Additionally, I would like to address the parking issue at the club. Fridays, in particular, are extremely busy, and I have consistently found it challenging to secure a parking space, often resulting in members parking on grass verges. Regrettably, my vehicle has suffered from damage due to carelessness of other members, including scratches and scruffs. Given the impending 2026 price increases, I personally do not believe that the current offerings justify the new rates. I attempted to reach out to the manager, Jake, regarding my concerns via email, yet I have not received any response. I have provided my notice, and will explore other various clubs.
