  Had a really positive experience visiting the gym. Sam showed me around and took the time to explain everything clearly, making me feel comfortable and welcome from the start. He guided me through all the steps, answered my questions, and made the whole process easy to understand. The facilities looked great, the atmosphere was friendly, and the support from the team was excellent. Big thanks to Sam for being professional, approachable, and helpful throughout.   I was recently given a quest pass from a friend to use your club facilities. I went for a swim, and the lifeguard who was on duty, who I think was called Imogen, was very friendly and welcoming and helped me find a pair of goggles I could use. If I ever get given another pass again, I will definitely come back.

  Not long joined the David Lloyds health club in lincoln and has been absolutely amazing. The facilities are clean, high quality, and the staff and everybody here are very friendly and extremely welcoming. Especially Senior Consultant Sam who has gone above and beyond to make sure my introduction and experience of the gym is smooth as possible whilst being happy to go out of his way to help this, big shoutout to him.

  MUST READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING JOINING: I have been a member at David Lloyd my entire life, I learned to swim here, played tennis for years, and returned after university because this place genuinely felt like home. That history is exactly why writing this review is so difficult, and why I feel it is so necessary. The staff are, without question, the absolute saving grace of this club. They are warm, hardworking, and clearly doing everything in their power to maintain standards. This review is not about them, it is about the systems and investment that are failing them, and failing the members. Sadly, the club itself has deteriorated significantly over recent years. The gym equipment is visibly outdated, with many machines held together with tape where the upholstery has torn. Cleanliness is also a genuine concern, there is a notable build-up of dust on equipment throughout the gym floor that suggests deep cleaning is not happening regularly enough. The changing rooms are where things feel most neglected. The showers have not been updated in years and carry a persistent smell of damp, with visible black mould on the ceilings and huge hair build up in the drains of the showers. The toilets also smell consistently, and the overall condition of these facilities simply does not reflect the membership fees being charged. I was paying £87 per month on a young adult membership, which is due to increase to £127 per month; a near 50% price increase. Within the email, I was informed that I would now be permitted to use the gym unsupervised and attend adult classes, I am turning 23. It is difficult not to find the framing a little patronising, and it did nothing to soften the reality that the facilities this increased fee is paying for are simply not up to standard. The disconnect between the price being asked and the product being delivered is stark. Most of the long-standing members I grew up alongside have now left. Those who remain have largely told me they stay only because they are unsure where else to go, not because they are happy. I want to be clear that I am leaving this review in the genuine hope that it reaches David Lloyd at a corporate level and prompts the investment this club so clearly needs. The staff deserve better resources, and the members deserve better facilities.
