Always overcrowded as they might have sold too many memberships over their capacity. Very hard to find a parking as well. Facilities and staff are nice but management is too greedy to get more members resulting in a very crowded club.

have been a member of this gym for 2 years and overall I’ve had a good experience, but unfortunately the receptionist, Tia, has made me feel uncomfortable coming in recently. She often speaks to customers in a rude and dismissive way, which creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. Customer service at the front desk is so important because it is the first impression members receive when they arrive. Sadly, she is the only staff member I’ve experienced this issue with, as everyone else has always been friendly and helpful. I hope management addresses this, because it’s disappointing for long-term members to feel like they no longer want to attend because of poor service.

This club is meant to be a DL ‘super tier’ however, it is ANYTHING but. Myself and my friend pay almost £500 a month for this club as we like to attend all of them. However, our last two visits to Finchley has been anything but enjoyable and today topped it off when we were ONCE again, dealt with by incompetent and RUDE staff. Our matcha drinks were not made properly and when we contested this, the man who made them had an attitude with us and blamed us for ordering the wrong drink even though we did not.
He then returned to make us ones we wanted and still managed to make them wrong.
At this point, we were in the club 40 minutes and had completely wasted our evening. Upon leaving, we asked for the manager who is so young there is no way he is one and he had zero authority. Whilst he was nice and listened to us, we asked for some sort of compensation and he couldn’t even authorise that so that made NO sense whatsoever.
Furthermore, there is an elderly man with glasses who uses the assisted Smith machine wrong ( sits on it for over an hour) and argues with every single member like he owns the place. When we complained to management about his aggressive behaviour the last time, our complaints were unheard and we were left feeling very vulnerable and exposed on the gym floor as the man was screaming at us. Other members then told us they have all had negative interactions with him and that he’s ‘just like that’ - not acceptable whatsoever.
This gym is definitely not worth the money and it is farcical to me that it is a super tier. There is never parking, the changing rooms are filthy, people are loud and obnoxious on their phones in the spa and nobody in the club lounge can make the drinks on the menu. It makes no sense to me.
The staff need INTENSE customer service training as do the managers. The managers should be more present overall and actually come to deal with customers as there are never any proper managers especially over the weekend!!
Once again it’s just another reason the staff are incompetent as the managers are never there to oversee or offer insight or training when these things go wrong. Moreover, they cannot even offer reasonable solutions when you are there dealing with them. Everything is “I’ll look into this” and nothing ever comes from it.
The club is always signing up new members but cannot look after the ones that already exist!! A disgrace of a gym and DEFINITELY NOT worth paying the extortionate fees.
AVOID THIS GYM AT ALL COSTS!!!

AVOID THIS DAVID LLOYD
I have been a member with DL for over 4 years, I have access to every single one and I frequent many David Lloyd’s each week due to work.
This particular club, has THE WORST staff in terms of customer service considering my membership costs over £266 a month; they are condescending, incompetent and should not be working for a luxury club that charge these prices.
To top it all off, every single time I attend and order a drink there’s an issue, either the cups come in a septic takeaway cardboard cup, or the person serving is unable to make the drink. I ordered an iced vanilla matcha for £5 and it came hot with no vanilla, they then tried to charge 80p extra for cream
Which comes as a standard in every single other gym? It’s honestly diabolical.
There’s also a specific male member who uses the gym and hogs all the machinery, even when the staff come they are unable to attend to him and he is very aggressive to females when approached and low and behold, the staff laughed this off which made me feel extremely vulnerable and terrified of the crazy man who fights with other members also.
The managers Sam and Olivia ARE NEVER present, and when you ask to speak to management they send out someone who is barely 18 years old and has absolutely no authority therefore further making me feel like my complaint is going nowhere and I am left feeling unheard.
I went in today and had two wrong drinks given to me which wasted 40 minutes of my time. I ended up leaving the gym and when I asked for a simple guest pass for compensation and the ‘ manager ‘ said no he had to investigate first.
To be honest the whole club is shambolic and to have the title super tier is LAUGHABLE
Avoid avoid avoid. I didn’t even want to leave this review as it’s beneath me, but I was completely dumbfounded at how this club gets away with the super tier badge.

Very poor experience, and it clearly reflects deeper, ongoing problems with how this gym is run.
I asked for an extra towel and was told I had to pay £2. It’s not about the money, it’s the principle. It feels incredibly cheap and petty, especially when it’s obvious that others take multiple towels without any issue. What makes this worse is that I had been away on holiday for a month and I use the gym 6 times a month maximum, It genuinely feels like you are being taken advantage of. This seems to be the ONLY RULE they enforce strictly, while far more serious problems are completely ignored.
The hygiene standards are frankly unacceptable. The showers are dirty, there are ongoing issues with black worms, and equipment is overcrowded and clearly not cleaned properly. These are not new issues, they have been raised repeatedly over more than a year and nothing has been done. This level of neglect is shocking for a paid facility.
Parking is another major failure. The car park is extremely limited, and management has chosen not to secure access to the nearby council car park, leaving members to circle and wait up to an hour just to find a space. This is basic planning that has simply been ignored.
The gym is obsessed with signing up new members but makes no effort to manage capacity or look after existing ones. It is constantly overcrowded, which only makes the hygiene and equipment issues worse.
I also had a situation where my son had a private tennis lesson, and I was not even allowed inside. When I raised concerns, instead of addressing them professionally, I was repeatedly told to “be quiet” and “not raise my voice.” The reality is, when you speak calmly, nothing happens, just empty promises. When you try to push for accountability, it feels like staff become defensive and unhelpful rather than resolving the issue.
It’s also very clear how the positive reviews are generated. New members are encouraged to leave positive reviews in exchange for waiving the joining fee, which completely undermines the credibility of the ratings.
Overall, this gym shows a consistent pattern of poor management, weak standards, overcrowding, and a lack of respect for paying members. It prioritises revenue over basic service, hygiene, and customer experience and it shows.
