  Very disappointing experience with parking at David Lloyd Cambridge. This is an extremely expensive gym membership, yet parking regularly becomes so difficult that members spend significant time driving around searching for spaces and are then late for classes — sometimes refused entry because classes have already started. David Lloyd do provide some overflow parking on other sites during limited hours, but in practice this often adds so much extra time walking back and forth that by the time you check availability, park, and return to the gym, you are already late. For people attending timed classes, this can make the whole visit pointless. Instead of addressing the underlying parking shortage in a reasonable and customer-focused way, David Lloyd subcontract enforcement to what feels like a deeply predatory parking company. Customers who are clearly do not obstruct traffic can suddenly receive £100 parking charges in areas without obvious yellow lines or clear visual indications that parking is prohibited and while other cars can pass comfortably. The feeling is not of sensible parking management, but of customers being trapped and monetised. For a premium gym charging this level of membership fee, this is a very poor customer experience and something potential members should seriously consider before joining.

  I got my membership 2 weeks ago now and it is everything I wanted. The facilities are great and the staff are welcoming. I was shown around by Tashaan and he was very friendly, answered any questions I had and convinced me to get my membership.

  Absolutely love going to David Lloyd. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are so welcoming. A special mention to Jiya who is always so friendly, helpful, and makes every visit a positive experience. Customer service like that really makes a difference. Highly recommend!

  I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the spa, and a huge part of that was thanks to John. From the moment I arrived he made me feel genuinely welcome and at ease. His professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor really stood out. John went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, checking in at just the right moments without ever being intrusive. He clearly takes pride in what he does and it shows in the way he treats every guest with care and respect. It’s rare to come across someone who combines such warmth with such a high level of service. Thanks to John, my visit was not only relaxing but truly memorable. I’ll definitely be looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend!

  I’ve tolerated the poor standard of facilities for far too long. Over the past year, I’ve raised multiple complaints, only to receive apologies and excuses with no meaningful improvement. While some of the staff are genuinely great, that does not make up for the overall experience. I paid my membership in full upfront, and although I am now relocating abroad for work, the ongoing issues at this club had already led both me and my partner to decide we wanted to cancel regardless. After making a formal complaint and requesting to discontinue, I was told my membership could only be cancelled and refunded (£2,300) if I provided proof of my job contract in Hong Kong. Despite complying, the refund was not processed within the promised timeframe. After chasing three times, I received an unhelpful response simply stating that my refund was being “chased.” This is completely unacceptable. The level of service and professionalism is extremely poor, and the way this situation has been handled falls well below what any customer should expect. It’s been almost 4 weeks now, and I’m still asked to wait.
