  I had the amazing pleasure of being seen by this amazing team. All of the members from security to reception staff/ customer service and opticians are truly amazing ! They go the extra mile to make for a wonderfull experience. Professional , efficient , always with a smile and excellent customer service! Deep thanks for all and extra thanks to Tom, thanks for an amazing experience and service ! Highly recommended!!!!

  Unfortunately I did not have the best experience with Vision Express in Birmingham. My first visit was great, the staff member I had was really helpful and kind in helping me pick out my first pair of glasses. I went for a more expensive pair, one of the highest they do in the store, but I knew the brand to be good quality and I want these to last a long time. After I collected the glasses a week later, I noticed that one of the lens' was coming out of the frame. After asking people I knew who wear glasses if this was normal they all informed me no. So I returned to Vision Express to ask about getting a replacement pair. The member of staff who greeted me was instantly hostile (I won't put the name, I have in my formal complaint) suggesting that either I had done it but at the same time that was how they were supposed to be. After imploring them to please look again they eventually said "oh I see what you mean" and then offered a replacement. I asked if the replacement would be the same, the member of staff seemed to get annoyed at me for asking this. Again this is my first pair of glasses so I don't know these things. I now have my replacement pair, when I collected it was that same member of staff who greeted me, as soon as they saw me their expression went into a mood. I tried to be nice but they essentially grabbed the new pair and tried to get me out of the shop as quickly as possible, didn't offer to see how they fit or anything. The new glasses are better, but the lens' are still slightly out of the frames. They did offer and edge polish, but after speaking to other opticians your lens' should not be out of the frame. My glasses are a larger frame too so its really weird. My prescription is low, my anisometropia means they have a slightly different depth, but we are talking a small amount. The member of the team tried to blame the lens' being out of the glasses on my mild astigmatism in one eye - do not let them give you this excuse like I did! After talking to other opticians and showing them the glasses, astigmatism adds slight shaping differences, not with how they protrude out the frame. I have submitted a complaint, asking for help before I left a review. But this was over two weeks ago and unfortunately I never heard back :( So, a shame. My first experience getting glasses and it turned into a disappointment. The member the staff in question, I honestly don't know what I did to offend her other than asking why the glasses were like that. I really expected better customer care from Vision Express. I have the pictures of the lens' coming out of the frames, I might add these to this review, they look hilarious now I know what was wrong. But lets see what Vision Express come back to me with in regards to my complaint first. I believe they are trying to wait out the 100 days before I can ask for them to be replaced again. My advice would be inspect the Glasses Properly before accepting them and do not let them gaslight you into thinking broken glasses are part of the design! Edit: in response to the reply below. I shouldn’t have to submit multiple compliments online for me to get a response? I appreciate you replying but I can really see how your reply is copy/paste. It’s ironically a great example of not actually providing any customer service but pretending to. Why should I have to hound you to be heard?
