It’s hot outside, but it’s even hotter inside. What’s the point of having air conditioning if it’s only switched on when management decides? Not exactly the experience you’d expect from David Lloyd. Disappointing!

Honestly, I go there mainly because it's the closest option for me. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed. The value for money of the membership is questionable. The sauna next to the women's locker room has been closed for quite a long time. The machines work inconsistently — sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. As for cleanliness, it's also quite hit and miss🤷♀️

Absolutely terrible experience. The staff provided us with completely false information from the beginning, and when the situation became a problem because of their mistakes, they tried to shift the blame onto us instead of taking any responsibility.
What was most frustrating was their refusal to acknowledge anything they had previously said or done. Every concern we raised was denied, despite it being the direct result of the information they had given us. Rather than attempting to resolve the issue professionally, they became dismissive and unhelpful.
To make matters worse, we were spoken to in an incredibly disrespectful manner and were even called “idiots.” When we tried to explain our side and challenge what had happened, staff either ignored us or refused to engage in a meaningful conversation. It felt like they had no interest in listening to customers or finding a solution.
Poor customer service, poor communication, and zero accountability. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Not worth the money! Despite the spa retreat opening, we’ve watched this club go downhill over the last couple of years. I’ve seen treadmills or resistance machines be left out of order for months at a time. Parking could also be an issue at times and we had to turn back on several occasions, even after the overflow car park opened. There were rarely any staff on the gym floor and kids were often left unsupervised on equipment. Just before we left, a sink was blocked in the women’s changing room for several days.
Our membership went up by around 15% this year. I don’t know how they can justify this increase when wages are not going up anywhere near this amount.
They may have a spa now, but they aren’t getting the basics right.
David Lloyd’s priority seems to be to get new members in, who they can charge more in membership fees. They do not care about retaining existing members.
We left the club at the end of April.

By far the worst gym I have ever been to. When you are paying outrageous prices, you expect the best experience possible however at David Lloyd Trafford, the facilities are almost always booked up or having construction works done to them. When complaining about this to the general manager ‘Jake French’ he simply blocked my account and deleted all the negative feedback. When you have such a useless, incompetent manager in charge, it’s no surprise to see everything under him is a complete and utter mess. After this I decided to cancel my membership however I have to pay for another 3 months for some reason, which is absolutely scandalous when you’re paying that sort of money. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone as they simply couldn’t care less about the customers, but it’s not a surprise when you have such a clown in charge. No doubt he’ll delete this as well.
