46 days waiting for a response. Paying in excess of £300 per month for a couples membership. Would avoid signing up. Nothing like the sales pitch, very rare that the experience is what it is sold to be. Not worth the level of membership fee, as the luxury price doesn't provide a luxury experience most of the time. Spa consistently broken. A lot of longstanding members share the same views, that something is always broken, the price doesn't match the cost and is going up year on year.
The general vibe is that you can *never* get a response off anyone to discuss the poor service. The only time you get any engagement is when they want money off you. My experience in trying to discuss with management has been similar. I would also recommend you look at Glassdoor reviews which specifically mention the Management Team as being unable to run an efficient centre. When your own staff are suggesting this, it's pretty telling.
Timeline so far since requesting an email back on consistent issues with facilities.
21/06/26 - Still no response. 2/3 saunas now broken.
18/06/26 - Still waiting on a response. No towel delivery yesterday (again).
16/06/26 - Still no response. Booked a tennis court on Saturday and got to the court.. it is now a building site for the padel courts. No notification by email or on the app (which still lets you book the three courts) that the courts are not in use. Also ordered a coffee today in the clubroom and it arrived with an ant crawling around the saucer, so suspect the cafe has an ant problem too.
12/06/26 - Still no email response back. But I have seen David Lloyd had time to edit their review on 08/06/26 following the last edit, to remove mention of emailing me back, and have now said to email them for a response. Not sure on the reasoning for editing the review rather than just responding, but speaks volumes when you will be paying £100+ a month and can't get an email response.
08/06/26 - Still no email back from David Lloyd, nearly three weeks after sending it.
Original review:
10 months in to a 12 month membership. Was told I would get the first two months free, was billed for both, and it took an age to get the money back. Recommended the gym to a friend who took out a 3 month membership, David Lloyd instead signed them up to a 12 month despite them having email confirmation that they had only requested a 3 month membership. Took him about two months to resolve this.
The outdoor pool was broken for months. Spa is constantly in and out of action. I would say 30% of the time an element of the spa isn't working. The gym is aging equipment and usually has a number of machines broken. Air con hasn't worked in weeks.
Customer service is terrible, can't fault the staff on reception, but getting any sort of correspondence from management is impossible. Have been waiting since 07 May to receive an update, despite sending around five follow up emails to four different emails addresses and discussing with their online support.
Gym is a 7/10, spa is a 8/10 when it works. But half the time it is broken or hampered by some technical issue that takes weeks to resolve.
Equipment to use for tennis is in a poor state. If you book a badminton court it's never set up, so you waste ten minutes setting up the net. Car park is in a terrible state and is chaos at peak times. Will likely get worse when padel arrives. Ordered food via the app and it took over 90 minutes to arrive, and only did when I went to the counter and had to remind them I'd ordered some food.

Every single year when the weather gets warm the AC in the gym ceases to work. It is absolutely ridiculous. Im paying a fortune for membership, management need to invest our money into the facilities.
