Had a great experience at Specsavers today. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout, making the whole process smooth and stress free. Thivani was particularly helpful and made sure I was well looked after. Everyone was professional and approachable, and I really appreciated the excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Specsavers. The staff were courteous, friendly, and professional throughout my visit. The eye examination was thorough, and the doctor explained everything clearly. Also there was no waiting time. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish.

I had a great experience with the optician and while ordering my glasses. However, the experience at the time of collection was disappointing. The staff member asked me to check my new reading glasses but didn’t offer anything for me to read, and then quickly moved on. I would have appreciated a little more time and attention to properly check that the glasses were suitable.

⭐ **0 Stars – Extremely Disappointing Experience with Specsavers Worcester Park** A deeply disappointing experience with Specsavers Worcester Park, involving repeated issues with my prescription, the lenses supplied, and, most concerningly, the impact this has had on my eyesight and wellbeing. I booked my first eye test with the store approximately a month ago. I was told that there had been a subtle change to my right-eye prescription. As I only use my glasses primarily for driving, I did not want a new frame and eventually agreed to have new lenses fitted into my existing frame. When collecting the glasses, I immediately raised a concern that my vision appeared distorted and slightly magnified. I was told to persevere for two weeks because, according to the store, it would take that long for my eyes to adjust to the new prescription. I was not convinced, particularly as I have worn prescription glasses for many years. After approximately a week of persistent headaches, I returned to the store because continuing to wear the glasses was becoming increasingly difficult. I specifically requested that my eyes and prescription be checked again. The subsequent test identified a **0.25 difference in both the Sphere and Cylinder measurements for my right eye compared with the previous test**. I was told that the lenses would therefore be remade. What happened next was particularly concerning. Rather than clearly acknowledging that there had been an issue with the original prescription, the store representative suggested that some people simply prefer to see things "more clearly". I did not consider that an appropriate response to a customer who had reported persistent headaches and distorted vision following a prescription change. I was told the lenses would be replaced with the corrected prescription and that this would take approximately 10 days. After waiting the full 10 days, I was contacted to collect the supposedly corrected glasses. Unfortunately, the same problem occurred again. Within days, I was experiencing headaches once more. At that point, I sought an independent assessment from another eye-care professional. The glasses were checked and I was informed that the lenses **did not correspond with the corrected prescription and instead appeared to correspond with the original prescription supplied by Specsavers**. If this assessment is correct, the implications are extremely concerning. My glasses were retained for 10 days on the understanding that the lenses were being corrected, yet I was subsequently provided with lenses which, according to the independent assessment, had not actually been corrected as requested. This is no longer simply a matter of dissatisfaction with customer service. Incorrect prescription lenses can have a direct impact on a person's vision and can result in symptoms such as headaches, eye strain and difficulty seeing comfortably. In my case, the repeated prescription/lens issues have resulted in prolonged discomfort and unnecessary disruption to my normal activities, including driving. I have also contacted the **Consumer Ombudsman**, who has advised me on the appropriate formal process to pursue the matter. Given the sequence of events, the conflicting prescriptions, the repeated symptoms and the independent assessment of the lenses, I have now decided to pursue this matter **formally, including through the appropriate legal and regulatory channels where necessary**. This will include seeking reimbursement of the costs incurred, as well as compensation for the significant inconvenience and disruption caused. I consider the handling of this matter by Specsavers Worcester Park to have fallen substantially below the standard I would reasonably expect from a professional optical provider. More importantly, the issue concerns my eyesight and should therefore have been handled with considerably greater care, transparency and accountability. I will **not be returning to Specsavers Worcester Park, and neither will my family**.
