  Looove Jane’s hot Pilates class, she corrects each one of us so we all learn the right form and get the most out of each rep. I’ve never learnt to engage my core properly until finding this class and it’s made a huge difference in my physique but also my general training, this class has become a staple now. It’s tough and high tempo but Jane’s always high energy pushing us through no matter what! Always leave feeling amazing, thank you Jane 🩷🙏🏼

  Extremely disappointing lately Since the renovations, the gym equipment has been breaking down regularly. At the moment, five treadmills are out of order, which is unacceptable for a gym of this size. There also isn’t enough equipment available, and I can never get on the abductor machine because there is always a queue. The leg-raise and chin-up station that allowed shorter members to do pull-ups and leg raises has also been removed or is no longer available, which is another frustrating loss. Supervision also seems to have declined. More underage children appear to be using the gym, while staff are often too busy on their phones to challenge them or ask them to leave. The previous team were much stricter and seemed far more attentive. The extra charge to use the health spa is another disappointment, especially given the decline in overall standards. Cleanliness is also a serious issue: the ladies’ changing room toilets are rarely cleaned properly, and the same stains can remain there all week. Overall, standards have really slipped since the renovations. It’s disappointing because this used to be a much better gym.

  Very bad experience with the Xcel centre. It takes ages to repair and replace broken gym equipment. Members on the help desk lack required knowledge, the centre are short staffed, no one picks up the phone. Written communication is extremely poor, with customer service manager in particular being very bad at responding to emails, writing very "ChatGPT like" and generic responses that do not answer the questions addressed on emails.

  Terribly mismanaged pool. No enforcement of lane rules whatsoever, leading to dangerous swimming conditions. If you speak up about it, you are told that's just how it is and there's 'nothing they can do' to enforce their own lane rules.
