    Ugh, my experience with Specsavers has been terrible. I ordered two pairs of glasses and haven't heard anything, even with delays one pair was supposed to be here last week and still isn't. The sunglasses I did get are messed up, there's a gap between the frame and lenses. Seriously, the quality is unacceptable. I need my glasses for work and everyday stuff, so this lack of communication and quality control is super frustrating. And then they tell me I can get a refund? What about the glasses I actually need?

    I went in for an eye test and ordered a pair of glasses, paying in full at the time. I was told everything would be ready to collect in two weeks and was given a specific date and time to return, which I planned around. When I arrived on the scheduled day, I was made to wait in a corner of the store for around 20 minutes without any proper update or communication. Eventually, I was told that my glasses were not in the store at all and they had no idea where they were. There was no clear explanation, no apology that felt genuine, and no real effort to resolve the situation there and then. I was simply told that they would look into it and call me back. Over a week has now passed and I have had no phone call, no update, and still no glasses, despite having paid hundreds of pounds. The lack of communication and responsibility has been extremely disappointing. Overall, the service has been frustrating and unacceptable. I expected far better, especially after paying upfront and being given a confirmed collection time. I would not recommend based on my experience and will be seriously considering going elsewhere in future.

    Saw a female optician on the 24th February 2026 who was supposed to refer me to Spa Medica for JAG Laser Surgery. The referral was sent to the wrong place and had to be resent. I have been waiting 7 weeks now for a pre-op appointment and contacted Soa Medica today and I am still on the list but no appointment yet!! I cannot see clearly out of my left eye and should have been seen by now. Very frustrating as my friend was referred at the same time and has had her JAG surgery done. The Manager was apologetic and offered me 50% discount on a pair of spectacles, but this does not help the fact that errors like this should never occur when they have a huge affect on treatment waiting time. Not happy at all.
