  Amazing experience at Vision Express. I went in to repair my glasses that I accidentally sat on (NOT purchased from their shop). Jack was very helpful. He helped me fix it quickly. The shop is quite well maintained, not pushy with sales and places to sit for your company whilst you’re browsing. Definitely recommended!!

  I visited Vision Express Southend recently and was looked after by Saba, whose customer service was absolutely excellent. She was friendly, patient, and genuinely went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and fully informed throughout the appointment. Her professionalism and warm attitude made the whole experience smooth and stress‑free. It’s rare to come across someone who takes this much pride in their work, and Saba is a credit to the store. Highly recommended — thank you for the outstanding service.

  It was a lovely experience from beginning to end, being asked to sit in a comfortable seat and I was invited to have two tests with Leah a friendly and professional lady, I was also offered a test which I believe gives a three dimensional look at the health of my eyes eye which I was happy to pay £6 for, I think that’s a bargain as your eyes are so important. My optometrist Niraj was very friendly professional and informative and happily answered any questions I had. No pressure was put on me to buy anything unless I wanted to, I said I would pop back and have a look at sunglasses which is exactly what I will do. Very friendly and professional staff with 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

  I pay a monthly direct debit for contact lenses but they didn’t arrive so over a month later when I chased them I was advised I needed an appointment to check my prescription, yet they still took my monthly subscription and didn’t inform me I was due an eye test. Had appointment with an optician who chewed gum throughout the appointment and didn’t seem to know how to use the equipment properly. My prescription changed but the next delivery was my old prescription. I called and was told they would order the correct ones. After 2 weeks I didn’t hear anything so went into the store and they didn’t seem to know anything about it and re-ordered again saying it would only be 2-3 days. It’s been a week, I called again and no delivery yet and they can’t tell me when it will be, yet still taking my direct debit every month.

  The new optician at Southend Vision Express is not good. My eye test was very rushed and all the time in the test the lady was talking about "buying 2 pairs of glasses" and "it is cheap, you can pay monthly, the staff will sign you up for monthly Direct Debit." These people are trying to get your hard earned cash with glasses and addittions you do not need. I will now need another eye test because I can't trust this prescription and will be going to a local independent shop.
